  1. Hi, I am fairly new to ayurveda and follow a sattvic diet for vata-pitta. I am planting some fruit trees and trying to find out if Loquat is a major fruit for my dosha. I have Maya Tiwari's book but it doesn't list loquat. Anybody know? Loquat is part of the Rosaceae family. Other fruits in this category are apples, apricots, plums, cherries, peaches, pears, raspberries, and strawberries. Two of these (apricot and plums) are major fruit for vata-pitta but the rest are minor fruit for me so I can't draw any conclusions. Thanks! Ari
