Take initiation of Sat Guru is the most important limb of bhakti, that is why Srila Rupa Goswami reffers to it in Bhaktirasamrita Sindhu as the 1st, 2,nd and 3rth things to do on the beginning... 1. find Sri Guru, 2. take initiation 3. serve him and take instructions... without Sat Guru, no possible to go on on the rest of the limbs of bhakti, what to talk about Krsna Consciusnes or Prema... that is not possible... About to be 1-1 with Him, ... Sat Guru is more intimate than soul... He lives with us forever , he has many forms: 1-Bhagavan, 2-caityaguru- 3-His own Body- 4-his intructions, 5- His bonafide disciples... then you can be 1-1 with him whenever and ever. Abour rounds, is not about 1, 4 or 16, is about, chanting pure nama constantly forever... Srila Prabhupad Bhaktisidhanta said in his upadesavali that one who chatn less than 64 rounds is consdered to be fallen. then, our aim in rouds is... all the time forever, but we must start with something. 1, 4. 8, that only Sat Guru will tell you what is ok, and good for you. but aim, is always forever chant sudhanama. Many gurus in may levels... you should know gurutattva first, also inquire from puredevotee. Srila Bhaktisiddhanta said in upadesavali, Krsna just take offer from some one who chants one lakh harinam... so... first find who does that... if you want any conection with Krsna...then that devotee must be recogniced by other pure devotes as one of them... and also MUST HAVE the aprovation from his own Guru to accept disciples. If don´t any mantra in any ear, in group or one by one will don´t be suddhanam, nami will not manifest at all. Only one who has Krsna can give Krsna, Only pure devotee has Krsna. Krsna is summited to his pure devotee. But most important is to cry... SGGS said Only if you Cry you will have real Guru! Take the best medicine from best doctor, no any medicin frome any one... carisma, fame, beuty, must be rejected... Pure devotee is described in those books i just mentioned... just desire crying the best medicine and Krsna will appear as Sri Guru.

I first came in contact with devotees, in this life, in l969 and was fortunate to take harinama and second initiation directly from His Dvine Grace Srila Prabhupada at the ISKCON temple,formerly located at 439 Henry St Brooklyn, New York. I served in ISKCON full time until the 340 West 55th St. building was sold in l981. I pursed several jobs as a taxi driver and driving instructor for some 15 years as circumstances forced us to seek a seperate living quarter outside the temple. I am in the grihasta ashram and have three lovely daughters, Janaki (17), Sudamani (14) and Mallika (7). My wife of 23 years, Jambavati devi dasi is known to many devotees as "Sita" in the ISKCON version of the Ramayana, which was filmed on location at the New Vrndavan Community. I am the siksa disciple of His Divine Grace Srila B.V. Narayan Maharaj. I was blessed to have His divine associaton on the Vraja Mandala Parikrama, this year,l998, and also the association of his wonderful disciples at their temples in Birmingham, and Bristol, UK. I left ISKCON in April of l998 due tophilosophical differences with its GBC and other god brothers over 1)guru tattva, 2)jiva tattva and 3)vaisnava aparadha. I founded the Bhaktivedanta Memorial in l977. The exhibit still is in tact in the Brooklyn ISKCON temple, but was turned over to a disciple of one of my god brothers, as I found it impossible to continue my service there. I still maintain the document archives and safe guard much of His Divine Grace's personal paraphernalia placed in my hands by the will of Providence

I never met you personaly, but your emails to me made me feel so close to you, and so close to SP, to my beloved SG and Vaisnavas. My dear friends, sons and daughters. My heartly blessings are for you. All glories to Sri Sri Guru and Gauranga, all glories to Sri Sri Radha Vinode Bihariji. Today I received the sad news about the departure of my dear most bosom friend, Sriman Puru prabhu. I am praying to Sri Sri Gaura Nityananda Prabhu and Sri Sri Radha and Krsna that They will bestow Their causeless mercy upon Sriman Puru prabhu and grace him with high class of association by which he will perfect his sadhana and bhajan and attain pure Vraja bhakti. I remember how he was in India for last 6 months, in Sri Vraja Mandal parikram and in Sri Gaura Mandal parikram. He visited many Holy places during this period and certainly gathered many deep spiritual impressions. I remember how he has served his Gurumaharaja _ Srila Bhaktivedanta Swami Maharaja - and also how he has assisted myself in spreading the glories of Sri Caitanya Mahaprabhu's mission.
