The life time of lord Bhrama is 100 years and it is called as “PARA”. The first half of para is called as pradhama para ardha and the second half is called as dwiteeya para ardha. One day in the view of lord Bhrama is called as kalpa i.e a day and a night. There are 3 kalpas named as bhrami kalpa, padma kalpa and swethavaraha kalpa.
One kalpa is divided into 14 divisions called as manvantaras. The word manvanatara says that it’s the time period of each manu who rules the world. One manvantara is a period of 71 mahayugas. Each mahayuga is combination of 4 yugas and it is also called as chaturyuga.
The duration of each yuga is give as follows
àKruta Yuga 1,72,8000 years
àTreata Yuga 1,29,6000 years
àDwapara Yuga 8,64,000 years
àKali Yuga 4,32000 years
The total time period of one mahayuga is 43,20,000 years. There exists a time period between transition of each manvantara it’s called as sandhyakalam which is 1,72,8000 years excatly equal to the krutyayuga similarly there exists a sandhyakalam between transition of two kalpas. By this we can caluclate the time for one kalpa as 14x71=994 and the time period of sandhyakalam i.e 15 sandhyas which is equal to 6 mahayugas.
Finally one kalpa is 14x71+6=1000 mahayugas. As each mahayuga consists of 4 yugas then one kalpa is 4000 yugas.
Where are we now:-
Now we are in dwiteeya para arhda it means 50 years of lord Bhrama are completed and we are in the year 51 according to Bhrama. This kalpa is called as sweathavaraha kalpa in which 6 manvantaras and 7 sandhyakalas are completed. This is called as vivaswata manvantara in which 27 mahayugas were completed and we are in end of 28thmahayuga i.e kaliyuga. By the year 2056 CE, 5100 years of kaliyuga will be completed.
