Are they gods, deities, goddesses, etc. Not understanding the differences/is there a difference? I visited a temple and these are present in the temple. Does this imply anything? 1. Lord Ganapathi 2. Lord Dattatreya 3. Anagha Devi 4. Lord Shiva I'm sorry as you can tell I am not Hindu, but I am trying to gain a greater understanding of this religion.

How one worships in the temple? Sounds? What objects (figures, statues) make up the temple? Do they have special locations in the temple? Where are the worshippers? I just need a wealth of info on the temples in the United States. Anyone knowing of temple websites or websites with great detail on the setting of the temples. Pictures would also be great. I am doing an informative report on Hinduism and was wondering if anyone here might lend a hand in answering some questions that I have that cannot be answered by a book.
