Hello, The botanical name of Shami is Prosopis spicigera syn Prosopis cineraria. It is a wild tree of ghreat sacred importance. On Dussera day Hindus worship tree.It is believed that Pandawas during their Agyatwas,hid their arms in the hollow of this tree. P.Prabhakar
