Namaste all,

I have read condensed versions of most of the Mahapuranas. I can't afford the full versions, so I go with these. But they are still worth reading, in my opinion. Anyway, my question is, why do all the different Puranas have different stores of creation? What does this mean? Thanks for any help you can give.

Then why does Prabhupada say that it is not Hindu? I'm perplexed by this issue now. But thank you for answering my first question.

I have asked online if Hare Krishna is Hindu, and they have said no. And also, I know in the book "Science of Self-Realization", chapter three, Prabhupada says directly it is not Hindu.

So, I'm assuming that it isn't.

I e-mailed a Gaudiya Vaishnava site and they say Gaudiya Vaishnavism is within Hinduism. So what's going on with that?

I do not mean to start an argument or hurt anyone's feelings. I just seek clarification.

I have read various Puranas. I am confused as to what all the different stories of creation mean? They vary from Purana to Purana, and even from the Puranas to the Vedas. Can anyone explain this? Thanks, your help is much appreciated!
