  1.

Sri Bhaktivinoda Thakur answers this question with the following two verses of his Tattva-sutra.

    bhedabheda vicarahetukam sampradaya bhedam nirupayati

    tesham paratvam kecidaparemedamitaretubhyam

"Between the Supreme Lord and the living entities certain sages have established oneness and others have established distinction, whereas a third group has observed the simultaneous existence of both oneness and distinction."

sarvesham samanjasyam satvika vijnanasya brahmatvabhavat pramana sadbhavacca

"All these three views of those realized sages are in complete agreement with each other due to the absence of error in the scientific evidence of the divine revelation."

    Are these the three groups?

    1. Advaita

    2. Dvaita

    3. VishishtAdvaita

  2. I named this topic - Energetic/energy - because i found these words mentioned in the explanation of the relation of jiva (individual soul) to God, which is also compared to a relation of sunshine particle to Sun.

    Energetic/energy

    God/individual soul

    Sun/sunshine particle

    ----------------

I believe the key to interpretation of these "word games" is in the understanding of words: Brahman and Atman.

Vaishnava identify with Atman and is talking from Atman's position,

Mayavadi identify with Brahman and is talking from Brahman's position.

    Please comment.

  3. With all respects, to theist:

Nonsense. I am not into word games for word games sake.

"Don't mistake my finger for the Moon." -Lao Tzu

I agree, its a complicated analogy, thats why i asked:

is there any other important point in the analogy of Sun and sunshine particles other than that of the relation between a whole and a part?

    ---------------------------

"In one sense I am everything, yet I am independent."
Brick is in one sense a wall, yet it is a just a part.

    Your have some other point?

  4.

What is wrong with sunshine particle-A saying to sunshine particle-B that they are Sun?

They even tell particle-C and D that they are also Sun, and all other particles...

If you "remove" all sunshine particles there is no Sun, is it?

What you are saying is seriously flawed for the most obvious of reasons. Without the Sun globe there would be no sun particles. Why have you not mentioned the Sun globe?
Yes, Sun globe is not mentioned. Its a complicated analogy, i could argue that Sun globe are somekind of pre-state sunshine particles...

The sun particles can tell other sun particles that they are also sun particles and have emanated from the same sun so in that way they are one but if any one particle claims to be the whole then that poor particle is quite foolish indeed.
    Question:

is there any other important point in the analogy of Sun and sunshine particles other than that of the relation between a whole and a part?

Srila Prabhupada - "In the Bhagavad-Gita it is accepted that the living entities are sparks of, part and parcel, of God, Krsna. But part is never equal to the whole".
If you "remove" all parts there is no whole, is it?

If you remove all bricks, can you talk about the wall?

  5.

Only a rascal fool claims to be God
But he also sais (if i understand him correct): You are God too.

Please correct me in this one:

You are a particle of sunshine who is claiming to be the Sun. Be happy with being a particle. A particle radiates light and warmth as does the Sun. That is glorious but a particle who claims to radiate light and warmth on par with the Sun is sadly delusioned.

What is wrong with sunshine particle-A saying to sunshine particle-B that they are Sun?

They even tell particle-C and D that they are also Sun, and all other particles...

If you "remove" all sunshine particles there is no Sun, is it?

  6. @bhaktajan:

You can find more information (if you need) about the list if you type in google: schools of hinduism wiki.

I still dont know what sampradaya is Sai Baba.

    ---------------------

    From Sarva gattah's post:

Prabhupada first asks: Where is that record in the Vedic scripture about your (Sai Baba's) appearing as incarnation?

Here is a possible explanation/answer to a question:

-three aspects of God (Brahman, Paramatma, Bhagavan)

-Trinity of Shirdi Baba, Sai Baba, and Prem Baba to come

  7. Which sampradaya is Sai Baba?

The devotee of Krishna fullfills all obligations to society and family et al., simply by following the yogic disciplines of Bhakti-yoga. In contrast to those who propagate "avidya" in the name of enlightenment

    ..........................................................................................................................

    Sri Isopanisad Mantra 11 Purport:

. . . The culture of vidyä is summarized in Çrémad-Bhägavatam (1.2.14) in the following words:

    tasmäd ekena manasä

    bhagavän sätvatäà patiù

    çrotavyaù kértitavyaç ca

    dhyeyaù püjyaç ca nityadä

“Therefore, with one-pointed attention one should constantly hear about, glorify, remember and worship the Personality of Godhead, who is the protector of the devotees.”

Unless religion, economic development and sense gratification aim toward the attainment of devotional service to the Lord, they are all simply different forms of nescience, as Çré Éçopaniñad indicates in the following mantras.

  8. The Five Features

    * Chaitanya Mahaprabhu is said to be Krishna (God) Himself, The Supreme Person.

    * Nityananda is Krishna's first personal expansion.

    * Advaita Acharya is a combined incarnation of Lord Vishnu & Lord Shiva (Harihara).

    * Gadadhara is an incarnation of Krishna's internal energy.

    * Srivasa is Krishna's pure devotee.

    Chaitanya Mahaprabhu is Krishna,

    Nityananda is Balarama (yes?),

who are Advaita, Gadadhara and Srivasa?

  9.

But i began dreaming lucid when i was 7 yrs old...i didnt do meditation at that time... But i think the cause for lucid dreaming is the level of ones logic understanding and impletation.. for eg. if you dream that the sky is red, then when you ask yourself in dream... that sky cant be red... the moment you do so... you realize that its your dream...

    Why would you ask that?

Dreams are just so real, its not "strange" that sky is red. Thats how it is... (?!)

I had lucid dreams twice, it happened to me in the days when i was reading literature about lucid dreams.

Sometimes when i wake up i am asking myself- how couldnt i realize that i am dreaming when-...the sky was red (for example).

    (about confusions: all the best)

  10.

I often have lucid dreams, where i feel everything as real but I know that its only a dream.....

That was my dream world... To test how concrete it was, I took some sands in my hand and observed it, i could see each particles of sand as I would see in reality...I felt its warmth, they appeared real...But i knew it was a dream.. (This is a great experience that i ever had)

What exactly do you do to realize that you are dreaming?

    -------------------------

What i think is that, this dream is not of a single soul, but its a collective dream which has turned into very very concrete and longer.
Did you ever had a conversation in your dreams with one person and the next day, in "real" normal day, you both know about conversation (or sth like this)?

  11. Look at this picture:

Explanation: Welcome to Planet Earth, the third planet from a star named the Sun. The Earth is shaped like a sphere and composed mostly of rock. Over 70 percent of the Earth's surface is water. The planet has a relatively thin atmosphere composed mostly of nitrogen and oxygen. Earth has a single large Moon that is about 1/4 of its diameter and, from the planet's surface, is seen to have almost exactly the same angular size as the Sun. With its abundance of liquid water, Earth supports a large variety of life forms, including potentially intelligent species such as dolphins and humans. Please enjoy your stay on Planet Earth.

By Martya-loka you mean what is in the picture (planet Earth)?
