OM SRI GURAVE NAMAHDear Vatsal,

Lesson on Kala Sarpa & Amrita Yoga

Definition

Definition of Kalasarpa yoga: "Agre Rahu Adhou Ketu, Sarva Madhya Graha" gives the definition of the Yoga. Place your finger on the Ketu and then move the finger in the zodiacal direction of the rasi's till you reach Rahu. If all the planets are in this half or signs, then Kala sarpa Yoga is generated.

Results: It brings immence suffering till the native crosses the natural age of the nodes. In the case of KSY this is 45 years. Suffering can make a person a devil or a saint. In the case of kala Sarpa yoga, a person becomes the evil one and then the criminal tendencies and destructive nature comes to the fore.

Remedy: Worship of Durga in Her form of Chandi as per the sloka "Kaloh Chandi Vinayaka".

Definition of Kala Amrita Yoga (KAY): Kala Amrita yoga is the exact opposite of Kala Sarpa yoga and is based on "Agre Ketu Adhou Rahu Sarve madhya Graha" wherein Ketu is in the lead instead of Rahu. Place your finger on the Rahu and then move the finger in the zodiacal direction of the rasi's till you reach Ketu. If all the planets are in this half or signs, then Kala Amrita Yoga is generated.

Results: It brings immence suffering till the native crosses the natural age of the nodes. In the case of KAY this is 43 years. Suffering can make a person a devil or a saint. In the case of kala Amrita yoga, a person becomes the kind or spiritual and then the spiritual directions and non-attachment nature is revealed.

Remedy: Worship of Ganesha in His form of Vinayaka as per the sloka "Kaloh Chandi Vinayaka".

Break of KSY & KAY

If Kala Sarpa yoga breaks then the planets help the native to end the suffering and the destructive nature and criminal tendencies end bringing about a transformation. This can happen in real life with the association of a saint or a Guru. Real life examples are those of (a) Angulimala and Buddha deva and (b) Valmiki. I will advise you to read these episodes and understand the life directions.

If kala Amrita Yoga is broken then the native does not renounce the life and instead, shall continue in this life getting many fruits and benefits of luxury, power etc depending on the nature of the planets breaking the Yoga.

The Kala Sarpa or Amrita Yoga can be broken under the following circumstances:

(1) A natural benefic planet joins the first or seventh house (These are the Satya Peetha or the places from where we learn about the real truth).

(2) A natural benefic planet conjoins the nodes. Natural malefic planets conjoining the nodes does break the KSY & KAY also but then there is no benefit of luxury, wealth or power etc.

Let us examine a few charts to understand this:Chart-1:Nehru, Jawaharlal

Comments: Place your finger on the Rahu (Gemini) and then move the finger in the zodiacal direction (Cancer, Leo etc) of the rasi's till you reach Ketu (Sagittarius). Since all the planets are in this half or signs, Kala Amrita Yoga is generated. It indicates the birth of a saintly person and his daughter (Indira Gandhi) did consider him so although his opponents had a lot to say otherwise.

The KAY indicates tremendous suffering and is broken by (1) Natural benefic and Lagna Lord Moon in Lagna as it is also the Atmakaraka and (2) Jupiter conjoins Ketu (Node).

The Yoga generated by (1) breaking of KSY or KAY by the Moon is called MAHA-SANKHA YOGA. Sankha indicates the begining or birth of something. He was tthe first Prime Minister of independant India and in the chart of Independant India, we find this Kala Amrita Yoga also being present. Is this just a coincidence? Further, it indicates birth in an aristrocratic family with all the paraphernalia of wealth but that would dwindle with time and many hardships including jail terms had to be endured in their struggle for the freedom of India.

The Yoga generated by (2) breaking of KSY or KAY by Jupiter is called MAHA-PADMA YOGA. Padma is the lotus indicating the rise of wealth, food, children and all that is good and representing God. Unfortunately this is in the sixth house. PRANAM GURUJI,

Here is my assignment:

Here is the chart of a lady attached with Kalamrita Yoga, that gives

obstacles up to 43. Yoga is not broken by natural shubha such as Guru and

Shukra, but by Chandra who is waxing thus shubha, and lord of 8th house

which is bad. The lady has a great trouble finding a proper relationship,

and had an affair with a criminal who was shot dead. She indeed has some

sense of spiritual nature, due to chandra influencing lagna which is satya

peetha, and natural instinct given by guru strongly placed in 10th house

as lagnesh. Some bad effects of kalamrita was given in the form of living

in war affected area, where the whole family had to relocate. However,

ketu in 11th from Al has given good financial situation due to the father(Shani

as lord of 11th from AL is together with Surya and Guru) She also had a

severe accident due to this yoga and placement of Lord of 8th in lagna

in dhanu(falls from vehicles)

KALASARPA YOGA

The chart is attached below:

This is the clear case of KalaSarpa Yoga, Rahu being atmakarak and

at the same time Bahoo stree Yoga present in the chart. Rahu is very afflicted

being with shani and mangal, while guru is afflicted to due to rahu conjunction.

No benefic in kendra while guru having the potency to destroy the

yoga, is afflicted and placed in 8th house in navamsa chart. However there

is yet a chance for a person to redeem due to the influence of Guru. There

are many raj yogas in mahayogadas, that gave the person material prosperity(breakage

of yoga in 2nd house) but the person is a higher class prostitute and mingles

with criminals. Her boy friend was killed as a crinimal. She had a terrible

suffering in the family, and is generally unhappy. I have adviced her to

wear Pookhraj and enhance the influence of Guru Mangala Yoga, and stay

away from such living, and go to church and pray on Thursdays to Lord Jesus(Guru

rules 12th from Karakamsa) Unfortunately she didn't accept the advice on

mantra, but perhaps she would accept going to Chruch and praying. Current

Rahu dasha is highly challanging and full of personal suffering.

SARPA YOGA

Sarpa Yoga is formed with malefics in kendra. It gives destructive

tendencies, weak health and poor longevity due to Kendra being sustainers

of body(lagna). Strong benefics such as Guru and Chandra can break the

Yoga, giving rise to Mahapadma Yoga (guru). The best advice would always

be given to give Ishta Devata Mantra, or Mantra for Planet breaking the

Yoga. I also thingk that Mritunjaya Mantra can be advised for health improvement

and longevity. Here is the chart of a person having Sarpa Yoga(attached

below).

Ketu, rahu, surya, budh and mangal are in kendras. The person had first

difficult living, problems all around, unsettled in profession, divorced,

lost a house on debts, had to relocate a few times in life due to debts,

is of lying and cheating disposition. Chandra dasha running so far was

highly mixed in effects, and gave some extent of prospertity and finance,

but also bad effects due to its natural benefic being in 3rd from AL and

being placed in 6th from Surya, and of course natural 12th house of losses.Current

Mangal dasha would reveal all his bad effects due to Sarpa Yoga, further

confirmed by Mangal bad ahipatya from Lagna. Venus as atma holds the key.

Mantra for Venus, such as Sanjivani is adviced, and also worship of both

Lord Hanuman and Ganesha due to karakamsha.

Best wishes,

Zoran

Hare Raama Krishna

------------------

Dear Gurudeva & Members,

Here's my attempt on KAY & KSY.

Chart of Naveen Patnaik(KAY):

-----------------------------

[ Oct 16 1946 1:00:00 TZ 5.5 85E50 20N30 ]

All planets are hemmed between Ketu & Rahu with Ketu

taking the lead, generating the KAY!!!

This KAY is broken by the presence of Venus with Ke.

As a result, the person continues to enjoy the benefits

of life, like Luxury, Power etc.

The significations of Venus are enhanced as a result of

this. Meaning that, he will make a good name for himself,

as Venus is AL, lord. Venus in 5H, will give him Power &

Authority, especially since he is a Politician.

This will happen after the age of 43 i.e 1989.

Also there is a malefic Saturn in Lagna!!! Saturn

as the 7L will negate marriage and give a sense of

detachment and hard-work.

Chart of Alfred Hitchcock(KSY):

-------------------------------

[ Aug 13 1899 3:27 0W10 51N30 TZ0.0 ]

All planets are hemmed between Rahu & Ketu, with Rahu taking

the lead, generating KSY!!!

This KSY is broken by the presence of benefic Mercury in

the Lagna. Also the Gaja-Kesari yoga in 4H, definitely lends

itself in mitigating the influences of KAY!!!

This prevented him from being a renunciate.

Here's a quote from BBC's biography:

" Hitchcock liked to play practical jokes,

some sometimes going too far towards cruelty. "

I must say that KAY manifested itself in his works.

We know that a lot of suffering happening inside is usually,

manifested in the outside world, but with benefics in Lagna &

Quadrant, gave him a positive direction in the form of FILMS,

where we could distinctly identify a streak of pesimism and

morbidity which runs through many of his films, like PSYCHO ,

The 39 Steps, etc.

SARPA YOGA

----------

Malefics in Quadrants with no relief from benefics.

REMEDIES

--------

There are many approaches, but the key being propitiatating

deity connected to :

1. The 12h from Atmakaraka in D-9,

2. The KulaDevata i.e 2H inD-20

3. DevataKaraka in D-9.

as they are akin to the tripod of life, i.e Sun, Moon & Lagna.

Also MantraPada & Moon's Rasi & Nakshetra should be taken into

consideration.

Regards

Narayan

JAI GURUDEV.

Pujya Guruji/Respected List,

I have got few doubts on results of KSY and KAY. Request to provide light.

1). KSY/KAY more oftenly than not found to exist in all/most members of some families. Does it specifically indicative of any family curse? Can remedial measures for such cases can be performed in common? What kind of remedial measure are best suited, whether same as given for KSY/KAY for indivisual chart?

2). Usually, for all Yogas it is advised to cross check with the Navamsa chart also. Is the same norm applicable for the these bad yogas also?

Suppose unbroken KSY is present in the Rasi chart, and in Navamsa all planets are very well placed generating yogas pertaining to all luxuries and comforts. Under such circumstances is it reasonable to undersatand that, all the yogas would not be come into fore front until the native reaches age of 46?

3). Whether KSY always reflects in hurdles in marriage/married life?

4). Even some of the personalities who got broken their KSY very strongly by virtue of Guru and Shukra, still suffered a lot upto certain age. Does it say that, if yoga is not broken not withstanding fact that any amount of Good Yogas present in the chart, native would be subjected to strife and sufferings end lessly?

5). Yogas KSY/KAY, can curtail the parameters of Upachayas?

(Below questions were also sent with my excersise on the lesson).

6) What would be the results, if only one of the planets goes out of the axis of the Rahu-Kethu by more than a house? Can We infur any results by counting the number of planets remained out of Rahu-Ketu axis?

7) If Rahu is placed in the Mesha, Vrishabha and or other good placement, can it make any diference in the intensity of the results of the KSY?

8) In some of the charts, Rahu acts as Yogakaraka/yogada, does in such cases, presence of KSY/KAY negates the Rahu to give beneficial results?

Re: [Hare Rama Krishna] Kalsarp yog - A lesson

The Yoga generated by (2) breaking of KSY or KAY by Jupiter is called MAHA-PADMA YOGA. Padma is the lotus indicating the rise of wealth, food, children and all that is good and representing God. Unfortunately this is in the sixth house. Re: [Hare Rama Krishna] Kalsarp yog - A lesson

Rath: There cannot be a simple solution for the KSY. Each chart will throw up a unique situation and we have to use the best of our knowledge in this. That is why I want all of you to practise and then we will see the results. Families can have this showing that the problem is in the attitude or is a cultural trait in the family. This may need correction. It can also be an individual case. A curse is possible if the houses/planets involved show up in all charts as being similar.

Rath: Every chart has blessings and curses..good and bad. Both work, but within thegiven framework. Take the case of nehru. inspite of going to jail etc, he kept rising in politics. Moon kept on increasing his fame as the days passed.

3). Whether KSY always reflects in hurdles in marriage/married life?

Rath: No not always, but problems have to be shared in marriage and this casts an additional burden on the partner.

Rath: Can't call it strife if he accepts the path. A KAY person joining a hermitage or Ashram at an early age gets over the suffering quickly as he is doing what Ketu wants him to do. So, where is the suffering, but this will be there to make him go to the ashram or take up celibacy etc.

5). Yogas KSY/KAY, can curtail the parameters of Upachayas?

Rath: Reword this question. It is not understood.

(Below questions were also sent with my excersise on the lesson).

6) What would be the results, if only one of the planets goes out of the axis of the Rahu-Kethu by more than a house? Can We infur any results by counting the number of planets remained out of Rahu-Ketu axis?

Rath: What happens in a Dharma Karmadhipati Yoga if the ninth lord stays out??? That should answer.

7) If Rahu is placed in the Mesha, Vrishabha and or other good placement, can it make any diference in the intensity of the results of the KSY?

Rath: Every text has something good to say about Rahu in some sign. Some say Aries, taurus & cancer others say leo -princely enjoyments, others say Pisces & Aquarius....What is intense will depend on the nature of the Lagna. There are criminals who enjoy Crime.

8) In some of the charts, Rahu acts as Yogakaraka/yogada, does in such cases, presence of KSY/KAY negates the Rahu to give beneficial results?

Rath: To some extent yes.

Best Wishes,

Sanjay Rath

Someone would wonder how could a person with a Gajakesari yoga in his fourth house produce so many horror movies. The answer lies in the Kalsarpa ypga, which should have given him a lot fo suffering especially in his Rahu mahadasa upto 11 years of age. It should be noted that malefics in the 3rd and 6th also add to the person's agressivity. But the Kalasarpa yoga, which could easily result in torturing others, was broken by Venus and the Sun in the Lagna, which arew conjoining the Hora lagna and A5, thus making him a famous and rich person. So instead of torturing others, he mafde films of the same and gthus gained popularity. Moon is Atmakaraka, so deb. Jupiter conjoining Karakmsa made him a writer and film director. Rahu is in 5th from Karakamsha, again indicating expertise in thrilling others.

This is a very interesting chart with the spiritual Pisces in the ascendant, and a Pravrajyya yoga in the 8th house of occult powers. The strong 8th house with Jup, Sun and Mars would give a lot of mystic powers to the native, and Merc. is also Atmakaraka. The Kalaamrita yoga would add to this. But the Kalaamrota yoga is broken by Venus, indicating that the native will use the knowledge gained by the grace of his guru for attaining wealth, recognition and followers. Chopra was associated with Maharishi Mahesh yogi duing Jupiter Mahadasa but some differences arose between them (Jupiter is creating an Asura yoga as well in this chartt. Jupiter in 12th from 9th house may make the native abandon his guru). In Saturn Mahadasa (Saturn is in Badhak sthan form the 9th the native is trying to make a name for himself out fo the knowledge received (Saturn in 5th indicates knowledge of ancient/traditional sciences). Interestingly Jupiter and Ketu are in 8th from Karakamsha, which also receives a Paapakartari yoga from Rahu and Mars.

2. There is yet another version of this as SARPA YOGA. Define and explain Sarpa Yoga and recommend remedies for allevation of suffering associated with it with a few examples.

Sarpa yoga arises when there is only malefics in the Kendras from Lagna. If there's more than three, the yoga is especially powerful. It will make the prson a failure in every sphere of life and he will always make bad decisions and eperform incorrect activities.

Mao has Rahu, Ketu and Sun in Kendras. Actually Ketu and Sun could be considered good for Dharma, but with the Asura yoga in the 8th house involving retrograde Jupiter as the Atmakaraka, there was no chance for him to become religious. Interestingly exactly these three planets conjoin the Navamsha Lagna, thereby their influence on his personality is increased. At the same time all these planets including the Lagna lord Mercury become Mah Yogadas (connecting Lagna, HL and GL) and thus making hima powerful dictator, who is not afraid of using the armed forces and secret service (Mars conj. Mercury in Scoprio in 3rd house) for consolidating his power.

The remedy would lie in worship of Vishnu, Who is tle lord of the Kenrdas, but having 5th lord Saturn exalted in 2nd made him a proponent of atheistic communist philosophy. Interestingly the nodes conjoin the Lagna both in D-20 and D-24.

Rath: Reword this question. It is not understood.

Guruji, you taught us that, through Upachaya houses (33%) a native can control his life. These houses stands for growth. Just I was trying to ask, whether, KSY can be dreaded to the extent of holding back native's action with rspect to even Upachaya houses and betray him to the path of sins? I was wondering, whether can one not be benefitted by propiating planets in the Upachaya houses to over come bad effects of the Yoga? If one take this malicious combination as challenge and decide to fight it out by the help of Upachaya sthana can one meet with success? In this question I might have sounded little eccentric. My mind boggled little. I am sorry, if I am out of cotext.

Re: [Hare Rama Krishna] Kalsarp yog - A lesson

JAI GURUDEV.

Pujya Guruji/Respected List,

I have got few doubts on results of KSY and KAY. Request to provide light.

1). KSY/KAY more oftenly than not found to exist in all/most members of some families. Does it specifically indicative of any family curse? Can remedial measures for such cases can be performed in common? What kind of remedial measure are best suited, whether same as given for KSY/KAY for indivisual chart?

Rath: There cannot be a simple solution for the KSY. Each chart will throw up a unique situation and we have to use the best of our knowledge in this. That is why I want all of you to practise and then we will see the results. Families can have this showing that the problem is in the attitude or is a cultural trait in the family. This may need correction. It can also be an individual case. A curse is possible if the houses/planets involved show up in all charts as being similar.

Rath: Every chart has blessings and curses..good and bad. Both work, but within thegiven framework. Take the case of nehru. inspite of going to jail etc, he kept rising in politics. Moon kept on increasing his fame as the days passed.

3). Whether KSY always reflects in hurdles in marriage/married life?

Rath: No not always, but problems have to be shared in marriage and this casts an additional burden on the partner.

Sanjay Rath

***Jaya Jagannath***Dear Mohan

When we know that the KSY/KAY has a strangle hold on the chart, the best remedy is given by the sloka "KALOH CHANDI VINAYAKO" as Chandi (Durga) and Vinayaka (Ganapati) are the deities of the Rahu and Ketu respectively.

2. Case studies: General examples of various types of KSY, KAY, SY etc with various Lagna and along various axis.

3. Famous personalities: Charts of famous people and how this KSY changed theri thinking. The fundamental principle of Rahu in KSY resulting in favouring anti-God philosophies be it communism or ghost stories. Similarly for KAY, SY etc.

4. Remedial Measures: (a) Why KSY results in non-believers and types of remedies required for them. (b) Concept of reverse mantra like "MARA" given to Valmiki or "Ksheepa Om Swaha" the famous Garuda mantra which is the reverse of 'Om Pakshee Swaha'. Use of Garuda mantra is saving Laxman © War & Rudrabhishek as done by Rama at Rameswaram before crossing over to Lanka - mantra's (d) Theme developing the importance of the Sun in battling Guru-chandala and other such yoga's - notice I mentioned Rama, Pakshiraj Garuda etc.

Why I chose you for this - because you are born in Simha Lagna with the Sun in fifth house (I think my memory is right). After writing this, mail it to me in word format. Quote Sanskrit slokas wherever necessary with translation and transliteration.
