At least in Sivasamy, they are shrewd enough that people can't easily find out that they are extracting birthday info from your mouth itself and will use the details to generate the computer horoscope and will inspire people. But here, in HYD, they don't even know the shrewd tactics. I came out middle in the reading with so much frustration. I decided that no more nadi hereafter:-). Unnecessarily wasting too much time rather than money. Virtually there are no genuine astrologers in Nadi as of now. Whoever is famous, our people visited them and shared their experiences. Did you find anybody in our group that they saw genuine one? No one I suppose. What I have gathered from spiritual people and friends who have gotten their leaves - they were utterly astonished! I feel that a certain amount spent is reasonable, say maybe US10 for locals of US100 for foreigners. I mean people from different countries have different earning power...so it seems fair. Furthermore to get an accurate life prediction is fated I guess, and to be informed of pitfalls and the remedy to overcome them surely has a price to be paid? Some have paid much more for their life predictions. Unless the prediction is to be a pauper all his life, just treat the sum given as a form of charity. Wouldn't you agree? In my line of work there is a saying " we are watchdogs, not bloodhounds " . While we reasonably can believe some things can go wrong, we don't dive into a situation thinking that it is as bad as it can get and we feel joy and pride for digging up the dirt! Of course none of my friends profess 100% accuracy on naadi prediction but 80-90% accuracy is the norm. Do you believe the law of karma? How about fate? It is said that the valuvar astrology family that went to buy the leaves was stated in the leaves, also the price offered. And these has become their income generating profession. They may or may not know astrology indepth but they can translate the sanskrit/old tamil poems. If you're sceptical enough, perhaps you can go to the main source at VaiteeswaranKoil. Keep in mind that not everybody has a leaf written for them, and if it is fated, you will find the correct leaf and prediction. Of course one must approach these things with a healthy scpticism as well as open mindedness. How one balances this is more on a personal level. I certainly will keep your kind advice in mind. To ensure that your nadi reading is genuine, please keep these things in mind. 1. If they ask approximate age, 2. If they ask approximate month and date 3. Whether you born in mid-night or early morning If nadi reader asks specifically these kind of related questions, just be careful. They are milking away the birth data and will produce the horoscope using computers will start predicting. If you are able to get your horoscope without asking those details, then it canbe a genuine nadi. I saw nadi astrologers charge more not only to the foreigners but also non-Tamil people from north or other parts of India. Ya, I visited Vaitheeswaran Koil too, Sivamsamy who is widely known as genuine. But he is also fake and charging more for other people. Again, wishing you all the best. They are trained to read the poems and translate the meaning. Obviously the main person can be from the valuvar caste but he alone cannot read all the leaves?! So others are trained to perform these functions. A spiritual guru of mine went there to confirm certain things and they were the same. Mind you he can do predictions himself, without birthtime at all, even without the birth details. He went there numerous times and on another occasion, he was told exactly why he was there. He gave the details of a boy and he was told that according to the leaf, he was there because the boy is missing. He was also told that the boy would turn up fine at a specific time which he did. Another got the name of the lady he was to marry. He had yet to meet his future wife at that point in time. You cannot generate this from computers. These cannot be predicted by computer alone. By asking those questions you have given me does not produce an astrological chart that is accurate by any measure. Yes they do charge more for some and less for others. As I said earlier that it is possible to treat the fee as a form of charity for services rendered, if one can afford it because you can offer to pay millions and yet get disappointments one after another with the incorrect predictions. This not only happens in naadi alone. This can happen with any other type of fortune telling, my friend. I am very sad to hear that you have not had any good experience with naadi sharma. Ther are of course black sheep in every industry or profession. I have yet to experience naadi personally but just last week one of my friends got his prediction and he was shocked no end because the prediction about himself, his brother and father was true till this point in his life. I'm sorry as i have not been involved in this group but pray tell what went wrong with your readings/experiece in detail if you have the time. Did you approach with an open mind?
