Dear friends,

A new book "Vedic Astrology Demystified" by Chandrashekar Sharma who is no stranger to this and other internet forums has now been published.

The author has been into Vedic Astrology for almost 52 years. He was invited and lectured at International Vedic Astrological conferences.

This book deals with the interpretation of a chart through Vimshottari Dasa, a dasa that is popular among the majority of astrologers.

The book is hard bound and consists of 376 pages which contain all that is necessary to effectively interpret a chart with the principles from the classics and from other sources which together total about 60 in number.

The publishers Parimal Publications describe the book as follows;

"Vedic Astrology Demystified" is written for the beginner to intermediate Jyotish students. The purpose of the book is to introduce the reader to the basics of Jyotish, starting with its origin. All essential information required for interpreting a chart is detailed, with a comprehensive look at each of the rasis, grahas and the 12 different bhavas. An overview is provided of many of the important yogas to look for in a chart and also emphasizes why a particular yoga gives its results in order to teach the student how to interpret combinations themselves. After setting out the basics of a chart interpretation, "Vedic Astrology Demystified" details how to interpret using Vimshottari Dasha system and how to incorporate transits into a prediction. The book finishes with a practical review of various charts and the timing of events."

My own opinion is that the book is a must for a student aspiring to learn the basics of Vedic Astrology and to become a better predictor of Vimshottari Dasa.

The book is available for sale at Parimal Publications, the publishers at:
