If I am allowed to be irreverent, I'll say Bradman is over-rated. In the early

days of any professional sport, some talented people do much better than

everybody else. As the sport matures and becomes more professional, the gap due

to natural talent narrows. An equally talented person cannot maintain such gap

from everybody else today, for example. If Bradman had played 20-30 years

later, he would not have had the same batting average for sure.

I am not saying he is not great - he certainly was - but his greatness is

over-rated on account of statistics. Statistics can be misleading, especially

in the early days of any sport.

If you ask me, Gary Sobers is undoubtedly the greatest cricketer ever. He was

more complete. He competed when cricket was a more mature professional sport

and he distinguished himself from everybody else.

I have the chart of neither legend though. :-) :-)

No arguments there. We call it soccer in America BTW. Football means something

else to us (go Patriots! :-) ).

I have Diego Maradona's birthdata though. It is: 30th October 1960, 7:05 am (TZ:

4:00 west), 58w27, 34s36. Maradona is also a legend in his own right.

Some would consider Bobby Fischer the greatest and not Gary Kasparov. I have no
