As one of our bhagavath kaykaryam,Srimath Ramanujas welfare organisation is arranging for Religious Yatras to various Divya & Abimana Ksthetrams at nominal cost to incurr the Expenses.

1.Kancheepuram Garuda Sevai- Starting Date : 5.06.09 midnight. (Refer Attachments for timings).

2.Pancha Narasima Darshan-Andhara-Starting Date : 12.06.09 morning.(Refer Attachments for timings).

3.Nava Narasima Kshetram -Ahobilam-Andra-Starting Date : 19.06.09 Night.(Refer Attachments for timings).

Dear all Sri Vaishnavas,

My name is Sudharsan. I would like to post some information about the Welfare organisation that we are running. About the Organisation:

Srimath Ramanujas Welfare organization was founded by my father Mr.R.M.Devanatha Desikan in May 2000 with an intension to help poor Sri Vaishavas, other brahmins and to support the flourish of our sampradayam.

 

Ramanuja Jayanthi Mahotsavam: As an essential part of our organization’s activities, every year, we celebrate Ramanuja Jayanthi Mahothsavam.

This function is being funded by many kind hearted people .We would like to thank all of them at this moment. With the fund being collected, we are arranging for Upanyasam by eminent people like Dr.Sri .Anandhapadmanabachar. Also we are conducting thirumajanam for Baghavad Ramanujar and other uthsavamoorthies. We are also performing Homams, thadiyaradhanai and holding some cultural programmes for children in the evening.

Free Saree distribution for poor Brahmin women: On Tiru Aadi pooram, the tirunakshatram of Aandal, we distribute free sarees for poor Brahmin women. This is also being funded by many golden hearted people.

Soon I will be uploading the photos taken during these two occasions for all of your references.

Future plan: Through contributions from benevolent people, if more funds are available, as a further step of our service, we would like to help for the education of the poor students.

Also we would like to organize free eye check-up camps for the poor.

This Year Ramanujajayanthi falls on: 29th April, but for convenience (availability of the venue, etc.,) the Mahotsavam is held on 2nd May 2009
