Sri Vairaivimada Kaliamman Temple [Lorong 8. Toa Payoh, Singapore]

will be performing Sri Navakshari Laksha Jeba Maha Sakthi Yaagam

from 15-24 Mar 07.

 

Significance of the Yaagam

The Navakshari (the one with 9 syllables) Yaagam, is a powerful

sacrifice performed to invoke the blessings of Sri Chandi Devi, via

the chanting of the auspicious mantra " Aim Hrim Klim Chamundaye

Vichhe " . Participation in the Yaagam brings divine blessings for

the devotees families in terms of family harmony, success of

children, bountiful wealth, removal of obstacles and matrimony for

those seeking partners in life.

 

The Yaagam will be conducted on a grand scale by adorning 9

avatharams of Ambal, with each deity accompanied by a Homakundam

(sacrificial pit) and a dedicated priest. The priests will offer

various homam items ranging from sakarai pongal, different types of

fruits, soubagya dhrivyams like pattu saree, manjal and kumkumam as

offerings while reciting the appropriate matras. The ultimate

objective of performing the Navakshari Yagam is to bring about

Victory for everyone in many ways as a family including good job

prospects or success in business ventures besides blessings for the

family.

 

Sri Lakshmi Kubera Yentram

Each participant will be presented with a Sri kubera yenthram at

the conclusion of the Yaagam. The Sri Lakshmi Kubera yentram blesses

the individual with sudden luck,wealth and prosperity.This yantra is

used as a tool to attract the cosmic wealth energy,accumulation of

riches,increase of cash flow at home etc.The yenthrams will be

placed beside the Homakundams throughout the conduct of the Yaagam

and with the chanting of the mantram, its power will be greatly

enhanced.

 

The poojas for the Navakshari Yaagam will start with prayers to Sri

Vinayagar on Thursday, 15 Mar 07. Devotees can also take part in the

daily poornahuthi and the soubagya dhrivya samarpanam where a plate

of pattu saree and mangala dhrivyams will be presented to the priest

for the poornahuthy that is being performed.

 

How do I take part in the Yaagam?

The Yaagam will be conducted over 18 kalams (sessions) from 15 to 24

March 2007 and in each kalam, 9 participants will sit in front of

each of the 9 avatharams of Ambal accompanied by a homakundam and

will be individually attended to by 9 priests. At the conclusion of

the Yaagam, each participant will be presented with a Sri Lakshmi

Kubera Yentram which has been blessed over the 18 kalams and

prasadams.

 

As participation is limited to only 162, please contact out Temple

Clerk for the avaliable kalams. The fees for participation is only

Sing $301 and each participant will be presented with a blessed Sri

Kubera Yentram at the end of the

Yaagam.

 

 

Laksha Archanai : (24 and 25 March 2007)

 

The Laksha archanai for Sri Kaliamman will commence in a very

auspicious manner with the presence of the presiding Deities from

our sister HEB[ Hindu Endowment Board] temples who will arrive by

chariots on 24 Mar 07 at 6.30 pm. Devotees are encouraged to

participate in this wonderful occasion and receive the blessings of:

 

Sri Kaliamman, Sri Mariamman, Sri Sivan and Sri Srinivasa Perumal.

The Laksha archanai will conclude the following day on Sunday

morning.
