In order to continue the good work initiated by ashish, I am giving

here a sadhna pertaining to guru poornima. (perhaps good only for

disciples of swami nikhileswhwarand). I will try to keep the upcoming

festival in minds, and slowly take a gain of about 15 days so that

people get time to purchase the samagri and make plans if they wish

to perform any sadhana. Kindly note that I am not a perfect

astrologer so I may not be aware of some good mahurats and will be

able to post sadhanas only from my limited collection. I will be very

happy and grateful if other members choose to contribute as and when

they can and what they can and perhaps discuss their experiences as I

said the amount of chants I have done are very limited.

The aim of this sadhana is to make a mental and spiritual connection

with Gurudev which is said to the base of success in all sadhanas.

Ref: april 2001

Mahurat: guru poornima, any Thursday or 21st of any month

Clothes: yellow, yellow aasan and yellow cloth under the yantra

Samagri: guru hridaysth sthapan yantra , safalya mala

Direction: east or north

Lamp: ghee, incence

After guru poojan, chant the following

Time: not mentioned, but brahma mahurat should be ideal, second

priority is late mala

Suggested chant: 1mala for 21 days

Deergho sadaam vei paripoornna roopam

Gurutvam sadeivam bhagvat prannamyam

Tvam brahma Vishnnu rudra swaroopam

Twadeeyam prannamyam twadeeyam prannamyam

Na cheto bhavaabdhe ravi netra netram

Ganga sadeiv paramam cha rudram

Vishnnorvataam mevat mev sindhum

Eko hi naamam gurutvam prannamyam

Aatmo vataam poorna madeivam nityam

Siddhashramo ayam bhagwat swaroopam

Deerghom vataam nitya sadeivam tureeyam

Twamevam sharannyam twadeeyam sharannyam

Eko hi kaaryam eko hi naam

Eko hi chintyam eko vichintyam

Eko hi shamba ekohi poorva

Gurutvam sharannyam gurutvam sharannyam

Mantra:

Aum hreem mam rakta bindu hridayasth guru sthaapitam nrim hreem aum

In order to make my romanized Sanskrit/ hindi legible to all I am

following the following

Phonetic rules

Sadaam –aa as in aam (mango)

A single a is for connecting two consonants as in kal (tomorrow)

Vei –as in saraswatyei -bara e

In order to distinguish ganesh from na in nal (tap), I am using "nn"

so I will type ganesh as gannesh just to remind of the anna as

in "fann" a cobra's hood please be careful about this.

Roop the bara u of oont (camel)

Ruk (the small u of ullu (owl)

Tvam is as in tota (parrot)

Tvadeeyam –bari I as in eekh (cane)

Hi –small I as in din (day)

I will next try to post some shiv sadhnas in the coming saavan from

25th july hich I hope some one some where will find useful

Good wishes

Jai gurudev

anu
