Sri Ramakrishna mantra and diksha ?

Dear Sir.

 

Namasthe. with great regret i have to inform you that

getting a mantra in this fashion is never a

substitute. Please approach your nearest math branch

and meet a swami there. Mantra diksha is a very

personal and loving exchange between a master and his

disciple. Every other impersonal exchange will deny

you the most beautiful and intense experience of that

holy occurence in your life which you will cherish for

the rest of your days. pardon if you think i am

intruding or you feel me soliciting. the great

guru-shishya prampara is very active today and there

is no substitute for that. good luck in your spiritual

pursuits.

Dear Sir,

I do agree. That is the only and correct way of

initiation. Its only that I feel unfortunate being at

a place (denver, Colorado, USA) which makes me

unapproachable to any Ramakrishna Math. I hope and I

will try to get such an opportunity as soon as

possible.

Swami Chetanananda is in Saint Louis, Missouri.

http://www.vedantastl.org/ . Sometimes he travels to

Kansas City, Missouri. Kansas City is about 600 miles

east of Denver - about a 9 hour drive.

 

Swami Chetanananda is a peaceful and wonderful person.

Six hundred miles is not so far to go to discover

such a wonderful human. He is a true devotee of Sri

Ramakrishna and Swami Vivekananda.

yourself initiated - you are in the jaws of a tiger; He won't let you

off even if you wanted to! He will take care of whatever you need at

the proper time and place! You will never regret the 'delay'!

It takes me 5 hours to drive to drive to St. Louis to see Swami

Chetanananda, but this is not a problem. The Swami's friendship is worth

any effort, he is a pure vessel of Thakur's grace.

Hello Michael,

I don't know whether you and others here rememeber me or not as I

have not been able to post any message for long. I posted a message

saying how frustrated I was in denver wothout any ramakrishna Org.

and you had suggested in a message saying I should meet Swami

Chetananda in St. Louis. Incidentally a few weeks later I got a job

call from St. Louis and I immediately accepted it. I am now in st.

louis and have met Swami Chetananda two days back and I told the

messages we posted on . He remembers you as I talked abt

you. He also appreciated of the work Jay is carrying out.

It's nice to hear from you again. I am happy to know that you have met

Swami Chetanananda. He is a wonderful person as well as a true sanyasi. I

will be traveling from my home in Arizona on a visit to Kansas City in mid

June. I plan to see Swami Chetanananda in Kansas City on June 18 and 19. I

haven't seen him since last summer in Laguna Beach during the annual Kali

Puja.
