Sairam,

It is highly impossible to get accomadation in Shirdi during the festival days particularly during Vijayadashami.With kids it is further more difficult.Unless you get proper and confirmed accomadation please postpone.But if you are ready to bear all the difficulties and have darshan of Baba keeping everything in his HANDS you can proceed with shraddha and saburi.I have no knowledge of the transport facilities from Bangalore.Sorry for it.

Sairam.During festival days and other peak period the local people at Shirdi are highly commercialised and money minded and no one shows any sympathy as far as accomadation is concerned.

Dear Sai Devotee,

Can anybody please advise me, weather it is good time to good shridi on 26-30

Sept this year with kids. We are planning to go, but we are not getting any

train confirmed ticket. How many trains are going from Bangalore to Shridi. or

from Bangalore to Pune. Will we get accommodation there? because it is very

pick time. Without reservation is it advisable to go there. can anybody advice

me.

Near Shirdi is Nasik. Either you visit Shirdi and then go to a few places in Nasik (though I do not recommend that you go to Nasik on the first day itself after visiting Shirdi)

The Shirdi mandir initially had the morning 4:00 am darshan which I think they have made it to 5:00 am and then there is another aarti at around 7:00 or 7:30 am. Make sure you visit the 2 morning aartis since morning will be the best time of the day.

By 11:00 or 11:30 you'll be outside the Shirdi temple or may be later.

Then there is an aarti and darshan in the afternoon (I am not sure on this one) and one in the evening.

You can take darshan as many times as you want.

In Nasik there are many places, one of them is a famous Shiv-linga (I forget the name) and there is a Lakshman Gupha.

Also, a few kilometers from Shirdi is the famous "Shani-Shingnapur". There are separate lines for men and women and only men do the pooja there while women can offer their prayers. If you have women folk with you, make sure you tell them to walk at a good distance away from the men-folk. Because the women folk walk to closely to their man or their husbands and as per the rites, once you take a shower and go for the pooja you are not supposed to touch a woman. And many women are hell-bent on causing obstacles.

Om Sai Ram,

Day's activities starts from 5 a.m. in the morning with Baba's Mangalsnan followed by Kakad Aarti, then you can attend Afternoon arti, evening Aarti and Shayan aarti before you retire.

Besides Baba's Samadhi Mandir you should take darshan of Masjidmai, Chavadi, Nandideep / Lendibagh, Abdul baba's samadhi, Khandoba mandir. These are main places to visit in Shirdi.

I trust Baba will shower his blessings.

Ps- Going to Shirdi during shradh is the best as its not that crowded which it usually is, so you can have darshan to your hearts content and no one tells you to move forward also...and most of the time even the glass barriers are also not put between you and Babas Samadhi.

Acc to me going to Shirdi during Shradh's is the best time as not much crowd, easy darshan and to the hearts content with no glass barriers too between Baba's samadhi and us.

However, rest anytime is rush time now-a-days.

Train Services- Yeshwantpur-Shirdi Garib Rath Extended To Ease Rush.

30 Jun 2009, 0438 hrs IST, TNN

Bangalore: South Western Railway has extended the services of Special Trains till September-End to clear Summer Rush.

Train No. 0791 Hubli-Yeshwantpur-Kochuveli will leave Hubli at 1.45 pm on Tuesdays and reach Yeshwantpur at 9.20 pm. It will depart at 9.40 pm and reach Kochuveli at 4.30 pm on Wednesdays. The new timings will start on July 7 and end on September 29.

Train No. 0792 Kochuveli-Yeshwantpur-Hubli will leave Kochuveli at 12.45 pm on Thursdays and reach Yeshwantpur at 4.30 am on Fridays. It'll depart at 4.50 am and reach Hubli at 1.50 pm the same day. These timings will be applicable between July 9 and October 1.

Train No. 0689 Yeshwantpur-Bijapur daily express special will leave Yeshwantpur at 10.10 pm and reach Hubli at 7.25 am the next day; it'll leave Hubli at 8.20 am to reach Bijapur at 2.10 pm. The timings are from July 1 to September 30.

Train No. 685 Yeshwantpur-Shirdi Garib Rath Weekly Special will -

Leave Yeshwantpur on Tuesdays at 7.30 am and reach Shirdi the next day at 8 am from July 7 to September 29.

In the return direction, it will leave Shirdi on Wednesdays at 6.20 pm and reach Yeshwantpur the next day at 8 pm.

The timings are from July 8 to September 30.

Halts

The train will halt at Doddaballapur, Hindupur, Dharmavaram, Anantapur, Guntakal, Bellary, Toranagal, Hospet, Gadag, Bagalkot, Bijapur, Solapur, Daund, Ahmednagar, Belapur and Pantumba, the release added.

The train will have 18 coaches, comprising 16 3-tier A.C. high capacity coaches and two generator cars, the press release stated further.

2) Aarti, best time is in the morning, wake up at around 4 and goto Samadhi

Mandir

5) Nanda Deepam, Sit for sometime in Lindi Baag

6) Maruthi Aalayam, Khandoba Temple

7) Shani Singanapuram

8) Museum (Dont Miss Baba Articles)

9) If you want to buy clothes and prasadam (before offering to Baba by entering

Samadhi Mandir) first enter by Gate 1 and buy from Sai Samsthan and not outside

10) Madhav Rao (a) Shama's house..

11) LakshmiBai Shinde's house.. where u can see the 9 coins

12) Samadhi of Megha.. Tatya..

13) There's this house.. which still stands. itseems.. when Baba first walked

that way.. the door of that house (which is sooo soo strong nd heavy and big)..

opened by itself.. as if .. that "wood too knew.. that God was walking towards

it..".. that door still stands.. many go to see tht door of that blessed house..

14) All few houses where Baba collected Biksha..

15) Must and Should - UDI (its again is near to Gate 1)

16) Laddoo Prasadam, they give it near Sai Samsthan, just a lane next to Gate 1

Also, If you are going by train to Kopergaon, please make sure you visit Sai

Dham Temple and Dhoondasa Baba. Its near by railway station and the guys in

Railway station know this place.

Ask them and make a visit. Its very nice place and if you can have Darshan of

Dhoondasa Baba it will be very nice...

Also, Kakada Aarti timings have been changed. So if you want to attend in the

morning, please check the below timings

Over and above this, to benefit more and more devotees with regard to the

abhishek pooja, it has been decided that Abhishek Pooja should be performed in

three batches and it has been started from April 6th, 2008, Shukla Paksh of

Chaitra month as per Hindu calendar.

hi saiprakash. i am magesh from chennai.i also visited for first time two months back.your life will flourish after visit with the grace of our lord sai maharaj.

Must see places in shirdi.1.samadhi mandir and complexes contains nanda deep and many more u should explore(books stall,prasad center,near nanavali samadi,-sai's udi will be given get without fail),2.dwaramaayi,3.chavadi,4.khandopha temple which in main road.all

the places are in walkable distance only.have bath of shirdi sai's grace.if this reply is late .sorry.thank u.sai ram.

In shrdi i think if u r at sai's temple u dpony have to go anywhere. It will be nice if u attend all the aratis .it is going to be a great experience.
