Thanks for the tip. Sounds very interesting. How do you wear the

seeds? Do they have a drilled hole and strung on a mala? Do they have

a natural hole? Should they be worn on the body? Or kept in the temple

in one's home? How to identify the genuine Chirmi Seeds? What are the

indications of bogus seeds?

Will someone kindly answer these questions: How do you wear the seeds?

The Chirmi beads are naturaly grown beads are found in forest of Aravali Mountains, India and are believed to be many hundred years old. It is said the bead itself will choose its owner and will not stay with an unlucky person.Purpose: They bring luck and ward off evil and Black Magic, & protect the wearer from physical harm by taking the abuse upon themselves.For keeping in: Since the Goddess of wealth, MahaLaxmi, stay near to these beads they are kept in Lockers, money safe, cash box, altar, handbag, purse After offering sandal paste and chanting "Om Shri Mahalakshymaye Namah" 7 times.

Prabhu Chimi beads comes in three colours namely black, red and yellowish white.

They dont have natural hole but some people drill a hole in that and make a mala. Once we cut open the bead from the centre, it is found to having soft portion inside like a sprouted pulse. The black beads are rare and I would recommend to use 28 Nos. seeds in a silver box.

Are you talking about that of called " Rattee " (You know

8 rice grains = 1 Rattee

8 Rattee = i Maashaa

12 Maashaa = Tola

These weights were used to weigh gold, in olden days when this metric

weight measures were not there. If it is the same Rattee, then I have

seen only red Rattee, not white or black. Which one is the mosr

auspicious - red, black or white? Can you send me a few seeds? What

will you charge for them?

Let me know first if that Chirmi seed is the same Rattee.

Prabhu Shaligram Shala Ji

Hare Krishn

I read your mail with a great interest. Prabhu, I would like to know a couple of

thkngs about these Chirmi seeds.

(1) Does Lakshmee live nearby any specific color beads, for example red or black

or white; or all colors have the same effect?

(2) The secong thing is, that how many seeds., minimum, should be kept to notice

some effect. And which is the best place to keep it? If it is the pocket, and as

you advice to keep them in a silver box, it is difficult to keep the box in the

pocket. Then how exactly they sould be kept and where?

(3) The third thing, Is there any other process required to invoke Lakshmi Jee

in those beads besides sprinkling some sandal paste on them reciting " Om Shri

Mahalakshymaye Namah " 7 times, maybe in front of of Lakshmi Ji's idol.

Please advice on above points.
