SAIRAM.

I think, among the books written by

Bhagavan, the Vaahinis are the foremost among the must-read.

They contain the message of Bhagavan

in the most comprehensive and pristine form.

They are:

Bhagavathavahini, Dharmavahini, Dhyanavaahini,

Geethavaahini, Jnaanavaahini, Leelakaivalyavaahini, Prasaanthivaahini,

Prasnothara vaahini, Prema vaahini, Sathyasai vaahini, Sutravaahini, Upanishadvahini,

Vidyavahini and Sandeha Nivarini.

In these books, Swami expounds the intricacies

hidden in the sacred texts with astounding simplicity. The tone is Divinely

authoritative.

After that, comes the series : Sathya

Sai Speaks. They comprise the Divine cascade of Bhagavan's Discourses.

They contain Bhagavan's practical advice  for the entire humanity,

the historical declarations and revelations made Him etc.

Among the books written by others about

Swami, the first should obviously be His Biography - Sathyam Sivam Sundaram

by Sri N.Kasturi. Like Ramayana is for Rama Avatar, Sathyam Sivam Sundaram

is for the Sathya Sai Avatar. In the series of 3 books released till now,

you can see the whole career of the Avtar till 1972. The Divine Saga is

matchless and drenches you top-to-toe in an ocean of Love. Truly, the reading

of it cleanses us of our sins and makes us a different individual.

I am yet to explore the plethora of

other books written by various devotees from all over the world. I hope

this gives you a basic idea of Sai literature.

There in no one on or about whom so much has been written - other than our

beloved bhagwan - Sri Sri Sri Sathya Sai Baba.

In this ocean of writing I could recommend something from what I may have read.

The first book I always recommend to any one is SAI BABA - MAN OF MIRACLES by

Howard Murphet. Then there is a scientific exploration book MIRACLES ARE MY

VISITING CARDS, by Erlendur Haraldsson. There are besides the Sathyam Shivam

Sundram by Later Shri Kasturi ji - these are the official biography of Baba.

In Mumbai at Dharmakshetra there is a book shop - you must go there and see

other books also - as many devotees as many writers.

We had published the book MIRACLES ARE MY VISITING CARDS in India - some old

copies are available on AS IS WHERE IS basis. But let me assure you the paper

may be yellowish - but the books are complete.

These can be sent to other devotees also for Rs 108.00 including packing and

postage. For details where and how to send the money - please write to me.

First come first served.

However if you have not read any books, some popular books are:

Sai Baba - Man of Miracles by Howard Murphet

My Baba &; I by Dr. John Hislop

Conversation with Bhagavan Sri sathya Sai Baba by Dr. John Hislop

Sai Baba - The Holy Man &; the Psychiatrist by Dr. Samuel Sandweiss
