SRI SRI GURU AND GAURANGA KI JAYA !

 

Having made a little introduction to the Radha-Krishna and Balarama

worshiping Heliopolitan Asyla Federations, i want to give you a

summary of some of the important Puranic-related elements in the late

Alexandrian Serapean Alliances.

 

I have been asked to make such a brief summary of this subject by

Vrndavan dasa, who must leave soon for Bharat Mata, and needs this

information. Last year Vrndavan dasa Prabhu kindly assisted me in

giving a museum tour and lecture on the PHAROAHS OF THE SUN Later

18th Dynasty Exhibit, which was touring from the Museum of Fine Arts,

Boston. During the Museum Tour we gave, i pointed out related Eastern

Vaishnava, Greek and Jewish symbols etc. in the Religious art and

artifacts of the period of the famous HELIOPOLITAN SUN KING,

AKHENATEN.

 

This Pharoah's 'Solar Monotheism' WAS NOT NEW. He was reviving the

Regional Monotheistic worship of HELIOS from over a thousand years

earlier. A thousand years later, after Akhenaten, the same

Heliopolitan Monotheism was again being revived at Alexandria in the

form of HELIOS-ASCLEPIUS worship, which was the dominant Bhakti

Tradition in the Region at the time of the appearance of Jesus

Christ. Serapis was the Egyptian Name of Helios-Asclepius. In Egypt,

Serapis was associated with Baal-Osiris-Dionysis, the REVEALER and

MASTER OF ALL MYSTERIES, THE SELF-SACRIFICED UNIVERSAL SAVIOR,

IMHOTEP THE GREAT PHYSICIAN, and THE INFINITE MULTI-FORM EMANATING

AND INCARNATING SECOND PERSON OF THE GODHEAD. HE WAS THE SACRAMENTAL

FOOD OF THE ELECT OF GOD, THE 'WORD / LOGOS' OR NAME OF GOD, THE

VERITAS ICON OR TRUE FORM OF GOD (ARCANA), AND MOUNT, VEHICLES,

THRONES, WEAPONS, ATTRIBUTES, PARAPHENAILA OF GOD AND WORSHIP.

 

The Second Person of the Heliopolitan Triune Deity was worshiped as

the 'Brother' or expansion of Kouros Helios. Among the Semites as the

alter-Form of the Supreme God ELI (HARI), He was called BL, BAAL, BEL

or BALU. BL's common Sacred By-name was YAHU. In North Egypt YAHU was

called ASU (OSIRIS TO THE GREEKS) and in South Egypt, Yahu / ASU was

called WASU. WASU-DEO is VASU-DEVA. The First Expansion of Helios

Kouros BALA-DEO was therefore the source of all subsequent emanations

and incarnations of the Heliopolitan Godhead. Baladeva is WASU-DEO,

VASUDEVA or VISHNU, the Source of all variegated Forms of God

for 'pastimes'.

 

The Second Person of the Heliopolitan Trinity was also considered the

Hierophant, Initiator and Master of all the Mysteries of Rhoda and

Kouros and all Their Expansions and Incarnations. Sri BALADEVA IS THE

ORIGINAL SPIRITUAL MASTER.

 

In the Rhodian Tradition, Bal (the ORIGINAL DIONYSOS, not the late

corrupt one)was prophesied to descend to Earth AS THE SON OF GOD, to

be born of a virgin, become the Great Physician, be slain in a

redemptive exchange for all souls who would go to shoel / hell, and

to RISE AGAIN AS THE SAVIOR OF ALL THE COSMOS. As the Second Person

of the Godhead, and THE FATHER's MERCY Personified, Bal-Osiris would

descend as ASCLEPIUS WHOSE EGYPTIAN NAME WAS SERAPIS. IT IS THE

PROPHETIC WORSHIP OF SERAPIS THAT BECAME THE CATHOLIC WORSHIP OF

JESUS CHRIST. Just before Jesus appeared, THE WORSHIP OF SERAPIS WAS

THE MOST POPULAR BHAKTI TRADITION IN THE REGION, and ALEXANDRIA WAS

THE SACRED CITY OF SERAPIS IN EGYPT. Jericho-Jerusalem, Pergamum,

Epidauros, Corinth, RHODES, and other Heliopolitan Centers were also

major places of Asclepius-Serapis-Charaka worship. The entire

regional Bal-Charaka-Serapis initiation Tradition eventually became

the various rites of Catholic Christianity.

 

The regional focal points of Helios worship shifted around between

various religious and political power centers, depending on which

city was the most stabile, prosperous and powerful at the time.

Because these religious alliances were also military alliances for

mutual protection, they were usually dominated by the member who was

most able to protect the others at any particular time. This was in

turn influenced by such factors as drought, war and other natural and

man-made disasters. Thus, sometimes Rhodes was the dominant force in

a league, or Delos, Crete, Heliopolis or even TYRE or Jerusalem.

Under the prosperous rule of the JEWISH King Josiah, the official

emblem of his reign was the RHODON, the INTERNATIONAL SYMBOL OF THE

ISLE OF RHODES AND RHODOS -RHODA. After the failure of Akhenaten's

Heliopolitan Revival in Egypt, for a time, under David and Solomon,

Jerusalem was the dominant Heliopolitan City in the Eastern

Mediterranean Region.

 

Rhodes was the center of various Rhodian Leagues. Rhodian (anti-

pirate) MARITIME LAW reflected the central role of Rhodes in the pre

historic inter racial sea-trade civilization of the Mediterranean

world. The oldest evidence of such leagues in the region shows that

they were related to the worship of Helios, with artifacts of trade

between related religious centers at Crete, Rhodes, the Nile Delta

and the Mediterranean Sea shore near the ancient Semitic Holy Cities

of EL (HARI) and BL-YAHU (BALA-VASU-DEVA) called SALEM (later

JERUSALEM) and JERICHO. Historians refere to these earliest maritime

trading alliances as the MINOAN or RHODIAN LEAGUES. Scholars say that

these leagues existed in the prehistoric period, and dawn of the

historic period about 3000 B C. Rhodes was always sacred to Rhoda and

Helios Kouros, and has been continuously inhabited to the present

Its Maritime law is the basis of ALL INTERNATIONAL MARITIME LAW

TODAY. This fact alone proves the historical centrality of Rhodes in

ALL THE ANCIENT HELIOPOLITAN ALLIANCES. Rhodian Maritime Law was the

accepted law in all the great Asyla Federations. The Amphitonic

Leagues, Delian Leagues, Athenian, Dorian, Delphic, Spartan, Argolid,

Minoan, Rhodian, Heliopolitan, Alexandrian and all other religiously

related leagues had common laws. First and foremost of these were THE

LAWS OF RELIGIOUS FREEDOM, ASYLUM AND MANUMISSION. As the last of the

pre Christian Leagues, the Alexandrian League of Serapis was almost

incomparably and gloriously inclusive and wide-spread.

 

By the time of Jesus Christ's advent, thousands of years of regional

Heliopolitan worship had been summed-up in the systematized theology

of the Alexandrian Serapean Tradition in Egypt. This tradition of

SERAPIS-CHARAKA was the main focus of scholarship in the entire

region AND IN INDIA. How can i make such a claim ? Because the most

ancient Universities in India and Asia were religious institutions

with large numbers of students STUDYING MEDICINE. Ayur Vedic

Medicine, Astronomy and medical-astrology (see Jeffrey Armstrong on

this) were some of the Vedic arts and sciences taught at these

institutions. In India, for instance at TAXILA and MATHURA,

the 'universities' teaching Ayur Veda were associated with ANANTA

BALARAMA AS CHARAKA THE GREAT PHYSICIAN. THIS TRADITION EVENTUALLY

CAME THROUGH NORTHERN BUDDHISM INTO THE PURE LAND WORSHIP OF YAKUSHI-

JI AT NARA JAPAN.

 

The greatest libraries of the ancient East were in centers of ANANTA

BALARAM WORSHIP.

In the West (and inbetween) it was the same. Thus the Great Libraries

of Byblos, Pergamon, Epidauros, and Alexandria WERE ALL PART OF

TEMPLE COMPLEXES OR CITIES DEVOTED TO SRI BALADEVA AS ANANTA CHARAKA

THE 'GREAT PHYSICIAN'. In Rome, Balarama Charaka was worshiped as

AESCULAPIUS, in Greece he was IASAS ('Jesus')ASCLEPIOS, in Sidon,

Byblos and Canaanite Tradition He was ESHMUN, and in Egypt He was

OSIRIS-IMHOTEP-SERAPIS. Just before the birth of Jesus, Serapean

Systematized Theology was highly refined. The best of Jewish, Greco-

Roman and Afro-Egyptian Sacred Tradition was harmonized in it. In

reconstructing that Serapean Proto Catholic Theology, astounding

parallels to Puranic Krishna-centric Vaishnavism can be recognized.
