A Brief Introduction to

WAVES:

India,

from ancient times, has made significant contributions to the world

civilization, culture

and knowledge in all areas of human pursuits. These contributions,

mostly unknown to the

wider world, in many situations unacknowledged and often distorted,

need attention for

good understanding and appreciation of the human past. World

Association for Vedic Studies

(WAVES), a non-religious academic society with no ideology, open for

membership and for

participation to all persons irrespective of color, place of birth,

ethnicity, religion or

any other persuasion, is a society to work in this multidisciplinary

area.
