Rejinaji,Om Namo Narayanaya.Dear members, Please join me in welcoming Rejinaji to this "virtual" family of Guruvayurappan devotees. Rejinaji (from Kannur) is expecting her first child. We have many mothers and some grandmothers (and of course many fathers and some grandfathers too!!) in this group. I hope some of them will share their wisdom and knowledge with you. My best friends recently had their first child; they are a blessed couple - since childhood they have learned to chant the Vishnu Sahasranamam and the BhagavadGita (the girl) and the Ram raksha strotram and the Gayatri (the guy) (and inspite of very busy careers as engineering professionals far from home here in the U.S., they have continued with their prayer schedules). My friend however only had one advice - do the nama japam! keeps you from thinking any unnecessary

stuff and you feel like you are always in tune with Bhagwan. [i narrate this example of my friend because due to Bhagwan's grace, some purva janma sukrutam or the new baby's destiny, whatever else you may call it - in her 8th month of pregnancy, very unexpectedly, an acquaintance asked my friends if they would be willing to host a visiting spiritual Guru for a week; this Guru (from Pune region) was on a lecture tour in the U.S, and gave many spiritual discourses in New York, California and Florida. Result was he stayed at my friend's house for a week and during that week, they had daily satsangs, heard discourses on various topics, and their house was charged with a spiritual energy that could only have done the baby a lot of good].One of my favorite episodes from the Bhagavatham is the Prahalada charithram. I have heard Prema Pandurangan's discourses on the Narayaneeyam in English - you have to hear her describe Prahlada and be transported to a

state of joy. I could not find an online source for it, but one of our members Krishnapriyaji has links to Premaji's discourses on some parts of the Bhagavatham in English. The link is below. Just scroll down till you see Prema Pandurangan and click on it - http://www.esnips.com/web/DownloadlinksforSpiritualDiscourses[Premaji is a professor of English literature from Chennai and a disciple of the Late Anantha Dikshithar].Krishnapriyaji has a virtual library of discourses; please do browse that site. There are discourses available in 2-3 languages. Premaji talks about Parikshit, Dhruva, Prahlada, and of course the most beloved child of all - Unni Kannan. You have to listen to all the pranks he indulged in. If you recall, Parikshit - Arjuna's grandson - was protected by Bhagwan when he was in his mother's womb. Thanks for sharing your news with us. May Guruvayurappan shower you with lots of good health and love (and of course lots

of yummy food!).Regards,Veena.--- On Thu, 6/26/08, rejina rajan <rejinarajan wrote:rejina rajan <rejinarajan[Guruvayur] (unknown)guruvayur Date: Thursday, June 26, 2008, 5:32 AM

Rejina ji

May Guruvayoorappan Bless you with a baby boy(like him)as you wish.

Nama Japam will always be good for you and your baby.

I am happy to hear that you wish your baby to be spiritually strong.

Nowadays even this thought is rare.

I prefer "Santhanagopala mantram" for you.

Regards,

Sreejith.

Om Namo NarayanayaHello Veenaji,Thank you so much for your kind reply. Yesterday I got the opportunity to visit Guruvayoor temple, it was really a great experience. I am so happy to see my guruvayoorappan again and again, as I got a wonderful darshanam yesterday.

I used to pray daily, as its part of my life, In November 2008, we met my Guru, after that we two, my husband and myself started " Dhyanam " ... My daily routine is as said my " Guruji " .Daily I used to spend some time for my pooja and Dhyanam... Used to read Devimahathmyam, Vishnu sahasranamam, and ashtotharam for Vigneswara, Sastha, Sivasankara, Mahavishnu and other manthras.. I wish I can continue this routine in future. Please pray for us.

And please keep advising me in future.. God Bless You AllWith

prayers,Rejina--- On Sat, 28/6/08, Veena <veeus18 wrote:
