Hi group,

I guess you all know I am new here so I will get down

to the dirt. ( I am long winded, PLEASE bear with me)

28 yo female, 1/2 cherokke indian, 1/2 irish and

german. appendectomy at 7 yo. no problems until

recently

At age twenty I was severly eclampsic with a my first

child and he was taken 7 weeks early. miscarraige

three years later. second pregancy uneventful,

HORRIBLE delivery. beautiful baby.

then all in one year 3 cases of nephritis, rupurtured

uterus (surgery) prolaspsed bladder (surgery), two

dislocated knees (two surgerys) pneumonia (hospital

stay), ovarian cyst (surgery). I think thats all, but

all that in ONE year.

Current problems:

arthritic knees that seem to be improving with weight

loss

overweight ( I have lost 37 pounds and want to lose 30

more)

VERY dry skin and hair (my hair has a lot of breakage

and grows very slow, it hasnt been cut in 15 years and

is just now past my shouldrs)

I am currently interested in learning more about

herbal cleansing, I cannot fast (hypoglycemic),

desparately want to lose wieght a HEALTHY way and keep

it off. We farm, raising our own veggies for the most

part (and fruit), will soon be getting our own

chickens and eggs, also beef too (gotta build that

fence),and right now are having to buy milk from the

store (YUK, I prefer to milk my cow not my wallet).

Bout the only thing we dont make is our toilet paper

(I like quilted lol) and my brown rice. Oh yes, we

grow our own feed for our meat. grain and hay. no

pesticides. Personally, I would rather eat a bug than

a chemical, really bugs are higher in protein and much

less toxic. (ok so I tend to be silly)

I am new to the herbal thing, so I dont have much to

offer. but hey, lets see what happens.

NOW one of you smart people , tell me what magical

herb will fix me right up.

ang

ps Confession " I work as a nurse, my job is to admin

medcation to the elderly. (gasp). I despise all the

darned chemicals. Our elderly Live off of injections

and pills. sad.

Well to start with you have a genetic double whammy for risk of diabetes.

I'm 1/2 Irish & have diabetes. For a LONG time i simply avoided all sugar,

and that's what saved my life. Recently i've become able to tolerate sugar,

but still watch it carefully.

Just knowing that the liver converts sugar to fat will help a lot. Anything

you do to strengthen the liver will be to the good.

Fats are incredibly important. You have to make sure that you get the right

kinds. This is indicated by the hair situation. I'll simplify things for

the sake of time here. Don't ever eat anything that has canola or soy oil

in it for a while. Do your best to avoid eating anything after 8:00 pm.

For oil, your best bets are avocado, sesame, and olive. Corn and peanut are

ok for cooking if necessary. Eat avocados whenever you get a chance.

You can go easy on protein in general. And for you, there is no such thing

as too much green vegetables.

It is likely that you have some intolerance for soy, so go easy on any soy

based products.

Of course cleansing regimens will help a lot, and the Good Doctor & others

here will walk you through that.

As for your occupation, i used to work at nursing homes a lot. Noticed that

a huge problem is abuse by psychiatric drugs, which is the main reason i

don't do nursing homes much any more. These are sometimes carelessly

prescribed, and real physical damage results, as you probably already know.

I know an organization that will take your reports of this kind of abuse,

preserve confidentiality, and get bad doctors busted. Getting some of those

(put in your favorite unprintable expletive here) off the streets will

definitely increase your satisfaction with life in general.

Dear B,

You have some serious education coming to you, and I don't mean that derogatorily. This would take about a one hour phone call and about 2 months by e-mail. Suggest you give me a call for a free phone consultation.

Love,

Doc
