Very Interesting Exercise Phenomenon

Hello Helen:)

Sorry for the late response. Life's has been busy for me, but in a good way. I take my pulse at my wrist. I have been doing some more research, specifically on the meridians, and i came across something in the "energy medicine" book that shed some light on the subject for me. In the chapter on meridians, Donna Eden mentions that each meridian has a two hour period during which it absorbs energy and a two hour period during which it is dormant.

Each meridian can be checked on the pulse on the wrists, according to what i've come across in in Touch for Health in my research.

I think i might have been accidently checking the pulse of meridian that may have been in it's high time or I might have had a effect on some meridians, either overenergizing them or weakening their flow, during my wieght bearing and cardiotraining sessions.

As i mentioned previously, my pulse during cardio training sessions is very noticable, and during weight training sessions, the pulse on the same point, usually the left hand, decreases noticably.

However, I have noticed something interesting: During a weight training session, my pulse on my left hand gets weaker whereas the pulse on the right hand stays the same.

Very interesting.

Kind regards,

Are you taking your pulse at the wrist or neck? I used to have a hard time distinguishing the pulse in my fingers from the pulse in my wrist, say when my heart rate was at about 145 - 150. Pulse in the neck was easier to feel and count.Helen DriscollOn Oct 17, 2009, at 11:00 AM, greenstuff26 wrote:> Greetings everyone,>> I've been noticing something very peculiar whilst exercising.>> I exercise 2 -3 times a week, and I usually do so until i feel > energized. maybe u r not exercising to full capacity as far as cardio is conc, wrt strength

if u load heavy wts heart rate increases so probably u r working with lesser wts

increase reps in that case
