Check out your

vitamin bottle and look at the line for vitamin B-12. If you find

Cyanocobalamin then you are getting an additional dose of cyanide with your

vitamins.

This is just

another case of a hidden toxin slipping into what you thought was a natural

medicine, when you thought you were getting pure and natural vitamin B-12. Of

course the body has to remove the toxic cyanide before it can reap the benefits

of vitamin B-12.

This little bit of

cyanide with your vitamin B-12 would be harmless by itself as the body, if it

is healthy and in good nutritious order, would be able process this toxin into the

urine and remove it easily. However as you are likely to deal already with an

abundance of other toxins and chemicals in your environment, many used to

process foods and commercial vitamins,

(that you probably didn't realize you were ingesting), your liver and

other organs could be already over-toxed and therefore have problems removing

this bit of cyanide.

 

The dangers of Cyanide

Cyanide prevents the

mitochondria, the power plants of our cells, from producing cell energy. This

affects particularly the central nervous system and the heart. Cyanide has been

used as a poison many times throughout history. It has been used for murder and

suicide.

Victor Herbert,

MD, explains in an entry to the American Journal of Clinical Nutrition, based

on a study by Rosenblatt at Yale

Medical School

in studies of children with genetic defects in vitamin B-12 metabolism.

"Cyanocobalamin is not vitamin active for humans until the cyanide is removed

within the body. This fact is dramatically illustrated in the rare infant born

with a defect in the ability to enzymatically remove cyanide from various

substances. Such infants are unable to use Cyanocobalamin as vitamin B-12;

deficiency is made worse by giving them Cyanocobalamin because for them it acts

as an anti-metabolite."

 

Why is Vitamin

B-12 important?

A little education

primer about vitamin B-12 reveals that heart disease, cancer and Alzheimer's

are just three of the critical diseases that are associated with a lack of this

essential vitamin. Vitamin B-12

is one of eight B vitamins, which are important for the normal functioning of

the brain and nervous system, and for the formation of blood. It is normally

involved in the metabolism of every cell of the body, especially affecting the

synthesis and regulation of the genetic code - the DNA. Also it is needed for

the production of fatty acids and cell energy.

A deficiency of B-12 is fairly common in those over 60.

Because it is stored in organs, deficiencies can take up to 6 years to appear.

Worse, deficiencies of B12 or folic acid (a complementary substance necessary

for the function of Vitamin B-12) can result in significant mental disturbances

without any indication of anemia or other clinical indication of deficiency. In

patients with B-12 deficiency, up to 61% have shown a marked increase in mental

capacity when B-12 supplements are added to the diet.

 

So, where can

you find a suitable source of Vitamin B-12?

Most authors claim

that B-12 can only be obtained from animal foods like meat, fish or eggs, which

can contain themselves an interesting cocktail of toxins and antibiotics from

commercial production. Mark Hyman, MD states that commercially raised cow meat

contains 500% more saturated fat than free-range cows. Large fish are often

contaminated with a cocktail of mercury, lead and cadmium.

The good news is,

there are other sources of Vitamin B-12, which are commonly overlooked. Mother Nature

engineered acceptable amounts of B-12, along with folic acid, in fruits and

berries that contain as an added benefit high amounts of Omega 3, 6, and 9, in

order for animals to properly digest these food nutrients.

non-essential fatty acids (oleic, palmitic, stearic, and vaccenic acids.)

 

Folic acid comes as

an important added benefit.

There is a bit of cyanide in many foods that we eat. In fact, the apricot kernel contains high levels of cyanide and is the source of Laetrile, a cancer-killing 'natural' substance. Apricot kernels are eaten regularly by the long-lived Hunza people who live without any appreciable incidence of cancer. Their predominant disease is cataracts

 

I would, however, avoid cyanocobalamin because it has been associated with degeneration of the optic nerve in a British study. I also would avoid placing any value on what Victor Herbert has to say, for as brilliant a scientist he may seem he has been caught in too many lies and misstatements.

 

Since cyanocobalamin must be converted into methylcobalamin and dibencozide for cellular absorption, why not take those forms of B12?
