Guest guest
Hi Deepak, Thanks for joining in. With you coming in, I guess we are already off the ground. I have created a folder named 'Dummies_Group' in the files section on this mailing list that will hold the analysis files for the horoscopes along with other dummies group related files. Let's have the discussion starting on first week of december. By then I hope we can get some more colleagues to join in. My only concern is that there should not a vast difference in the present knowledge. If the members start talking about special lagnas right from the start, I would again feel misplaced. Then we would have to create a "Brighter than dummies" group or "Dummer than dummies" group as the case may be. Anyways, let's see how it turns out. Guest guest
I'd like to ecourage you to study- but I doubt 'DummiesG' will help- for knowledge to grow we need those things /books, people/who know more than we do.. Do not be intimidated by quantity of the mails, more recent ones- it's just that-quantity. You've gotten the books, and go to the first year of the List- more quality and valuable info is there. I strongly suggest that. Search other sites, and you'll all be fine. And ask Qs of course! We all have been on the beginning, and still are in certain areas- so, no need to exagerate the problem- Jyotish IS the science of Light, and will reward you, on its OWN, for understanding you'll be getting piece-by-piece. It's an exciting journey, and huge body of knowledge, and ongoing study and meditation- once you get 'hooked', somebody said, it will become a life long affair- Great one, indeed! Guest guest
om namo näräyaëäya|Dear Manu, If you rally wan to become an Astrologer, then 1st you have to go to a competent Guru and fix a Muhurta for starting learning of Jyotish and then start learning on that fixed Muhurta.Buy the basic books like Astrology for Beginners by Dr.B.V.Raman,Fundamentals of Astrology by M.R.Bhat,Brihat Parashara Hora Shastra,Brihat Jataka, Jataka Parijata etc. Then you can buy books like Crux of Vedic Astrology by Shri Sanjay Ji,Vedic Astrology-an Integrated Approach by Shri P.V.R.Narasimha Ji,Prashna Margam,Jaimini Sutras etc. Daily morning you have to worship Nava Grahas, your Ishta Devatha,Guru Devatha etc. and then learn with concentration.Check the archives of VA list,Achuta Gurukul etc. and learn with full concentration. Dont tell lies to anybody, respect your elders, parents and be vegetarian ie., consume Sattwic food, try to be in happy mood always, dont talk with harsh words to anybody etc. I hope this helps you. Guest guest
ok ok Deepak. Don't exaggerate my mistakes! I meant the first week of January. Some members are already viewing this idea with doubts. However, I still feel that we go ahead and try it once. What do you say? Let's see if it works or not. We can ofcourse simultaneously read all the various books and follow a disciplined life. At least we shall be able to say that we tried it. The files section being filled up is really a problem. I wonder what would be the best way to archive what we want to archive so we can share the stuff? Any ideas?
