ORIGIN OF GREECE

Dear Family,

This is something I have been fascinated by, and reading about,

since we started discussing the similarities between India and Egypt

a few years ago. Nothing that follows is original work by me…it is

all taken from the books that I have been reading ( word for

word) ; some of these writings are pretty old but still very

accurate. What is most fascinating is that there are Latitudes and

Longitudes given of cities in India (or what was India 2000 BC) with

names that are identical with the names of cities and provinces in

Greece where these people settled. If it was just one or two names,

I would not have sent this to you, but when you see the number

of `coincidences' you too will wonder about the connection.

Introduction: Approximately 2000 BC, the major War of the Epics, the

Mahabharata, was fought in the Northern Provinces of India. The

Mahabharata war raged on for many years. Many were killed. Many

left the country. Those that left the country were of many

different tribes, mostly Kshatriya. They went north and west, and

swept across the Indus River and went west. There is considerable

debate as to what caused the strife and the mass exodus. Some

claim it was major disagreements between the Brahmins and the

Buddhists. Other say flood, drought, earthquake or other natural

disasters.

These notes of mine were made after reading various books and

literature regarding that exodus which led these Kshatriya tribes to

various parts outside of India. The last time I sent something

similar to the family, I was asked to provide proof. Finding proof

after 4000 years is, to say the least, not very easy. However, what

I was able to find is that there are tremendous similarities in the

names of the places where these tribes settled (in this case I am

referring to Greece, perhaps we can look at other countries in

future) and the names of their original home districts. Please be

patient as you read through this and give me your comments and

suggestions. I spend a great deal of time on this subject matter as

I find it extremely interesting and therefore any helpful comments

or criticisms would be valued by me. I have tried to highlight the

names of the original home-towns and also their new settlements, but

one must take into account that over the thousands of years that

have elapsed, even the language has changed. The names are subject

to the Rules that apply when a name or word becomes Greek from

Sanskrit.

The ancient province of Bihar is known as Pelasa. It was the

stronghold of the Buddhist faith. The Buddhists fought the Vedic

Brahmins because of disagreements regarding the doctrine of castes.

Also, the Buddhists challenged the Brahmins priests and the

privileges allowed them The Brahmins were also known as the Race of

the Sun, whereas the Buddhists were commonly thought of the Children

of the Moon. All of this is important as we look at what happened as

they settled in Greece, believe it or not. (The people of Pelasa

settled in Greece and that area became known as Pelasgos. In

Pelasa (Bihar) was another region called Magadha. The people from

there were called Maghedan. These people settled in Greece and that

area became known as Mahedonia. The Megada settled in the region

called Kikada (before they changed the name to Megadha).

In time, the kings of Bihar conquered other territories and extended

along the Ganges "Anugangam" and across India (Colonel

Wilford "ancient geography of India" Asiatic Researchers volume

IX). Their land was called first Pelasa, then Cicada, Megadha, and

lastly Bihar. People went from Ghurkha, Delhi, Oude (Ayodha), Agra,

Lahore, Multan, Kashmir, Indus, Rajputana to Greece. These were very

powerful warrior tribes. They had nothing to fear from anybody who

might be bold enough to obstruct their migration.

(See Neibuhr, history of Rome, volume I, page 52 – the entire

Indian army as it came into Europe became known as the Pegassic

grace ) . Important to read "Mahavansa" translated by honorable G.

Turnour, also read Colonel Tod "Annals of Rajasthan".

These superb war-tribes "the children of the sun" were the ones who

first inhabited the land of Hallas (when they were in the Indian

subcontinent they lived in the Hallas range of mountains which are

in the Afghanistan area now ). Look at the maps of Greece, old and

new, bordering along the Euboeanc Sea. Find "locri." on the map.

These are the inhabitants of Logurh. ( the inhabitants of Logurh are

called Loghuri ) Logurh is in Afghanistan – south of Kabul for an

extended distance. It is 6000 feet elevation and the climate is

very severe in winter (latitude 34, 20', longitude 69 ). The Logurh

River drains this area. Logurhi-ooksh-wale = Locri ozolae (see

further on).

Bahut ( inhabitants are Bahutians ): These are the Bahutian, the

Kshatriyas, great warrior caste of North-West India. Bahutians came

from the banks of Behut also known as the River Jhelum, the most

westerly of the five great rivers of the Punjab. It starts in

Kashmir, goes through Punjab, through Baramula. The people of Behut

were known as Behuti, Bahu means "arm" of Brahma from whence the

Kshatriya caste was sprung. These warriors are therefore known as

Bahuja, born of the arm of the Brahma. They are also known as su-

bauhaus which means warrior par eminence. They came from the land

of the great Kshatriyas.

Boetians: Adjoining the small Grecian area of Locri, is an area

where the Boetians settled. It is immediately to the Northwest of

Attica, embosomed in the mountains of Helicon, Parnassus and

Cithoeron. The people from that area were famed for their military

hardihood and vigor, and usually won at the Greek Olympic Games.

They had square-built figures and masses mounts and were warlike.

These were known as the Boetians, they still exist. They are

genetically the same as the Bahu-tians –the strong-arm of Brahma.

Immediately east of Boeotia is the large island of Eu-Boia, the

settlers there are known as eu-bahuyas ( only spelled differently,

but still the same original Behut tribe ). Their land is called

euboea (eu is the Greek for the Sanskrit su, which means `good').

India: At location latitude 30  25' – longitude 74  45', is a

small, deep lake called Kosah Nag, near the top of Pir Punjal

mountain, 12000 ft above sea level. From here starts Veshau River

which is one of the main feeders of the Jhelum (Behut) river. This

river goes through the city lake, Manasa Lake, Wulur, great lake,

through Barumulla Pass; in Sanskrit it is called Vitasta.

Greece: The Jhelum was unquestionably the Hydaspes of the Greeks.

In Greece, it is called Betusta.

Attac: - these people settled in Greece in an area they named

Attica. Attac was a fort on the east bank of the Indus River. It is

942 miles from the sea. It exists just below where the Kabul River

joins the Indus River. Attac means "obstacle." The banks of the

river here are very high and the stone is highly polished like black

marble because of the high force of the water here. The depth of

the river here is 30 to 70 feet and the speed is 6 miles per hour.

The water is clear blue and extremely cold and rapid, and

dangerous. On the right bank opposite Attac is Khyrabad, a fort

build by Nadir Shah. This is the military and commercial route from

Kabul (through the Khyber pass) into Punjab. This is what

Alexander, the British, Timour and Nadir Shah used.

The people of Attac spent their merchandise (for trade with the rest

of the world) to the people of Tetta. (Remember this name – it is

the basis for large areas in Greece, the Greeks also named the

grasshopper after this land because the area where they settled in

Greece was beset with grasshoppers.) These Tettaikes were sea-

faring mariners, experts on the water, on the seaboard line of the

Sind River. With Mekran on the west, they would go up the river to

Attac, down to the Persian gulf, to the east to the gulf of Kutch

and of Cambay (The Institutes of Manu, the Ramayan and the Mosaic,

accounts of the early magnificence of Egypt – all show the splendor

of this commercial people; for Egypt and India were of one race.

Greece: The Attica, the origin of the name was thought to be Auto-

chthons. However, keep in mind that `-Than' or `-Desh' means `land

of' in India. (This will come up repeatedly with other names. So

Auto-chthon really originated from Attac-Than (land of Attac). The

symbol of this land is the grasshopper (tettiges). These people

from the north of Attac came to Attica in Greece. By far, the

greater part of the Attica tribe came from the "people of Tetta"

or "Tettaikes".

Tetta: This city of Sind is three miles west of the Western Bank of

the Indus River, four miles above the point where the western and

eastern branches of this river separate. Tetta's site consequently

is close to the vertex of the delta of the Indus. Tetta was vast,

very rich, and very commercial. It ran from Peer Puttah to Sami-

Nagar. The great fortress of Kulancote was massive and part of

Tetta. There is a cemetery of 6 square miles, containing a million

tombs. In the ruins of Tetta, the masonry and carving displayed

great skill, taste and industry. The bricks are the finest,

equaling porcelain. "The finest chiseled stone could not surpass

the sharpness of edge and angle, and accuracy of form" says

Kennedy. The architecture, lofty houses, beautiful trees and

picturesque areas of Tetta are very similar to Hellenic Attica.

Alexander Hamilton visited Tetta in 1699 and it had a population of

1,50,000. He said its antiquity is unquestioned. The Tettans

sailed also to Africa where they `planted' the Oracle of Hammon in

the deserts of Africa.

Hammon – latitude between 30 42'and 31 54', longitude 61 8'and

62 10'.

Bhilai – city latitude 24  North, longitude 32  East. This is the

city of the Bhils. The Bhil Brahmins, Bhil prince was known as Bhil-

Pos. This is the Philipos of Macedonia. His son, Alexander The

Great, claimed descent from Hammon.( coincidence?)

Megar Talao, in Sind, near Karachi is a collection of hot springs,

it is swarming with alligators. In Greek, it is known as Megaris

(near Attica and Tettaikes). The people of Attac, Tetta, and Megar

Palao embarked simultaneously in the most powerful fleet that was

ever seen in those early days. At that time, living conditions

became very difficult in India. The Attac, with their superior

military and martial strength, requested the Tettas, who were sea-

faring people, to take them to a different land. The Tettas were

benefited because they had the might of the military Attacs along

with them. We will see that many of the inhabitants from that area

and there were multiple voyages going back and forth between that

area and Greece.

The followers of Hari, the God of war, belonged to a clan. Clan in

Sanskrit is "kul". The clan of Hari was therefore known as

Haricul. The chief is called "Is". The chief of the family of

Hari was therefore hari-cul-isa. This became the mythological

Greek Hercules (see Mahavansa by hon. George Turnourr, Ceylon 1837).

The Kori river is an arm of the sea formerly an estuary of the most

eastern branch of the Indus river. The mouth of the Kori is

situated at latitude 23 30', longitude 68 25'. At Cotsair, 20 miles

from the open sea, the Kori River is seven miles wide. The people

near the Kori and the Indus River were known as the Kori-Indus. Also

the tract of coast stretching from river Kori to the Indus is known

as Kori-Indus. In Greece this became, after they settled there, the

Corinthus or Corinthian.

Les – a province laying along the coast, a little to the northwest

of the Gulf of Karachi. These were a sea-faring people. When they

settled in Greece, they called their land the Isle of LesBos.

Sarawan: It is at latitude 27  52' and 30  20', longitude 64  and

67  40'. On the west are the Sarawanee mountains, the boundary to

the north and west is Afghanistan, boundary to the east is

Afghanistan and Kunch Gundava and on the south by Makran Kelat,

Jhalawan. The Sanskrit Sarawan is in Greek known as Saron In

Greece to the south of Megaris and Corinth lived the people

originally from Sarawan now known as "Sarawani-Cas".

The River Arghasan, in Afghanistan. Near it is the province of

Argos. The river Arghasan rises in the Amran mountains and flows

west to join Turnak (latitude 31  31', longitude 65  30'. Now, this

river is called Agund-Ab). These people were called Argh-Walas. In

Greece, they are known as Argolis.

Akkehu: North of the Argh-Walas, in India, is the village of Akkehu –

the people are known as Akkaihy. Akkehu is situated at latitude

36  50', longitude 66  7'. In Greece, on the Corinthian coast is

the city of Achaia.

Logurh, southwest of Akkehu, the people are known as Logurhi-Ooksh-

Wale. These people settled on the Crissean Bay and the land bounded

on the north by the Corinth gulf. They are now known as the Locri-

Ozoloe.

Bolan Pass: Latitude 29  30', longitude 69  40' situated in

Balochistan, stretching east over the Hela mountains near Dabor. In

Greece, the setllers from that area called their new home Bolani or

Buluni.

Hela Mountains in India became the Helas of Greece.

Tal or Tull, the people from this area were known as Talan –a little

to the northwest of Buluni. They are the inhabitants of Talan-

Desh. It is in the desert of Sewestan (Shiva-Sthan). Adjoining

town is known as Pisheen, also called Bhishan coming from the word

Shiva. In Greece, the Talan people called Taulanti and called their

area Sewestan and established a city known as Bisheen.

The town of Kahun, a little southwest of the Bolan Pass was settled

in Greek as Chaonia and the people were known as Cahon. Also, known

as Khania (Khaun).

Kheran or Kharan, the capital of Kheran District bounded on the east

by Jhalawan, on the west by Punjgur. In Greece, these people

settled on the Kerauni Mountain., also known as Keraunii Montes.

These were also known as the Wushutee range of mountains.

The areas mentioned thus far were all in the land of the Sind River

therefore these were originally the people of Sind. There were also

people who moved to Greece who were NOT from Sind . To the east of

Khaonia, reside the non-sind-es or the a-sindanes: They are known as

the Atintanes. .

In India: Pind mountain range: the current name is Pind Dabun Khan.

Pind Dabun is a salt range from the Suleiman Mountains to the river

Jhelum. It exists at latitude 32  30' to 33  30' east to west. In

Greece, the mountains were named as Pindus mountain. It is midway

between the Aegean and Ionian seas, forming a boundary between

Thessaly and Eprius. The people who lived in the Pind Dabun range

were called the Daman or the border. These were from the Daman

mountain range. The people who lived in Greece were called the

Athamanes (A-Daman) country was called A-Damania (Athamania). In

India, in Sind, the mountain ranges were called the Hela. In India,

the residence of Hela were known as Hela-wasi. In Greece these

people became the Helawas = Helous The Greece's largest river was

known as Ac-Helous. It represents the Indus river ( Indus is the

longer name for Sind). Acca means water and Helous is from the Hela

mountains.

In India the Arac pass lies between the valleys of Kabul and Kunduz

latitude 34 40', longitude 68 05'. In Greece, the residents from

this Arac pass named the second largest river, the Arac-thus (Arac-

desh. In Sanskrit desh means country. The Greek endings for desh

are usually Tus, Dus, Des, Tis, Tes, or Thus ). Therefore, Arac-

thus, the second largest river in Greece is the river of the

Aracland. In Afghanistan, the mountain named after Ram's brother

Laxman is called the Lughman. In Greek, it is called mount Lacmon.

In India, the Kerketcha range connects the Hindu Kush Mountains with

the Suffeid Koh. It separates the valley of Kabul from the plains

of Jalalabad. In Greece, they named a mountain Mount Kerketius

(mount Kerketcha)in memory of their homeland. In India, the land

of Jhelum is known as Elymyo-Desh (Elymyo stand for Jhelum, desh

stands for country). In Greece, the river coming from Mount Lacmon

is called Haliacmon, which purveys the eastern section of Elumiotis

(land of the Y-Elum).

Lahore to Attak, near the Tatara Pass, in the vicinity of Lugman and

Kerketcha. In Greece, the residents settled near the river they

called Titaresius. The city was called Azoros (coming from Hazara)

the same tribe in Palestine, founded Hazor).

Lanka – Shiva's linga -the tribe of Lova (Ram's son) settled in

Greek luncestis (called canalovii), found lingus-mon, also known as

lunces-tis (Lankesh-desh).( Ceylon is now known as Sri-Lanka )

Shiva's son was known as Karthik-eya (god of war). He was sometimes

known as Karthik or Karthikeyu. In Greece, a mountain was named as

Kerketeyus and also mount Kindus. Karthikeya's mount or vehicle is

the peacock (berhi in Sanskrit). The mounted peacock is known in

Sanskrit as berhi-nabhan. The peacock chief, Karthikeya is

therefore also known as berhai-pe or berhai-pia. In Greece, the

warrior chief of the Karthikeya's area was known as perhaibia or

perhaibioe saltus. The prince of the Perrhaibians was also known as

guneus (since Karthikeya was born at the river Ganges is also known

as Ganga. Gangas town is called in Greece as Gangos. The

brotherhood of the chief of war, a warrior-clan brotherhood is known

the pleural for this war tribe (Afghan, Persian, Greek, Trojan). In

Greece, the city of perrhaibia lies at the junction of the two

northern sources of the river Titarus (at the base of mount

Hamian = source of holiness and purity. Bami changed to Vami nagri,

Vami-gram. Mountain near Vami was called pehar-up-Vamis.and in time

this changed to Paro-pamis-us, and now it is called parnisus.

I found all this fascinating; what is surprising to me is that it

seems so transparent, yet I have never heard any mention of any of

this. What am I missing? I would love to get some criticisms or

comments on this . What would be MOST helpful is maps of Greece with

the places on it that are mentioned herein, and also a map that

shows all those places in India.

Thanks for reading this,

The CENTAURS were known as a race of men who lived in the mountains

and forests of Thessaly. They were written about in Homers Iliad

and described as wild beasts. They were considered to be covered

with hair, animalistic, savage, led a savage life, and carried off

the women of their neighbors. Yet apparently they were very familiar

with the "useful arts" which included martial arts, literature,

medicaine, etc Homer speaks of Cheiron as the greatest of the

Centaurs. In later writings, the Centaurs have bodies that are

part human, part horse.Cheiron, considered the wisest and most just

of all the Centaurs. His friend and relative was Peleu, according

to legend. Cheiron took on the son of his friend Peleus as his

student. That son's name was Achilles..

All these Centaurs were schooled, like the Kshatriyas in hunting,

medicine, music, gymnastics, and other arts. They were therefore

considered "God-like wild beasts ."

Later, they were defeated by _Hercules (the chief of the Clan of

Hari = Hari-Cul-Ish). The Centaurs ran to Cheiron to protect them

Kentaur.

Kandahar:

Turn your attention now to the origin of the Kantar (_the Cantaur)

in old India, or modern Afghanistan, to an area called

Kandher,Kandaher or Kandhar.

We recently saw that Taliban blow up two mountain side statues of

Buddha in Kandaher. This was originally the stronghold of the

Buddhist or the Hari-cul.(Clan of Hari.) Sal were the neighbors in

the neighboring province and they settled in Greece as the Pur-Sal-

Is or Pharfalus). Har means war. These warring clans of Hari-_Kand-

Har (country of Har) of the Haro-tribe. Haro - also referred to in

the Greek Homer as hero and is applied to prime chiefs and inferior

warriors. The Rajput who settled down in Kandahar used as his

battle cry "haro, haro" (The Druids of the British Isles

shouted "hurrah hurrah").

These Kandahari were originally from Rajasthan – the CATTI- the

great Rajput tribe, one of 36 royal dynasties of Rajasthan.

CATTI:

The Royal Dynasity of Catti was so powerful that the name of

Saurashtra was changed to Catti-awar (Kathiawar ). In the time of

Alexander, the Catti resided near the nook of the Punjab – the

confluence of the five rivers. Alexander nearly lost his life when

facing the mighty Catti . The Catti did not believe in

industriousness, but rather had predatory pursuits.

Colonel Todd wrote "Rajasthan" and he wrote "the arms of the Catti

consist of the sword, shield and spear. They are all superb

horsemen and are wonderfully particular in the breeding of that

animal. The horse lives under the same roof and is treated as a

member of the family. A Catti se ldom walks – he always walks or

gallops on his steed. He is so adverse to walking that he rides to

the field where he means to labor or to join a plundering party or

to resist attack." The Catti acknowledged no law but the law of

the sword and no employment so honorable as the life of blunder. (

The Centaur was thus thought to be half-man, half-horse). Colonel said "_a Catti " could collect in less than three days 700 to

800 cavalry of his own caste, undertake the most hazardous and

fatiguing expeditions. They did not fear anything.. Todd said "to

become a husband, a Catti must become a ravisher; he must attack

with his friends and followers neighboring village and carry off his
