Sri Arunachala Dhyanapeetam- Nakshatra Dhyaan Temple

Where trees heal Planets and TreesDuring the Vedic Era, Sages and Saints identified 9 planets, 12 Rasis, 27 stars and their influence on planet Earth, with great precision. The positions of these planets, rasis and stars at the time of birth of a person, influence the life of the person. Rasi refers to the sign in which the Moon is placed at the time of birth of a person.

Each planet, star or rasi has some relative element in its existence. For instance, wheat is identified with the Sun and if a person has the Star Sun placed in a weaker position, he is advised to substitute wheat with other food items. Like wise, for each planet they marked a particular grain, mineral, metal, tree or plant, color and flower.

Based on the birth date, astrologers fix the birth star of a person and based on the birth star, the traditional system of astrology assigns a specific tree mentioned in the Vedas to it. These specific trees are named Nakshatra Shanthi (This is what i didn't understand) .

Each zodiac tree is said to have medicinal, social and aesthetic values that correspond to the characteristics and ethos of the particular star.

Meditating in the vicinity of one's star tree causes great harmony in one's body, mind and spirit, causing miracles at a holistic level. There is also a deity and a mantra associated with each star. To overcome the malefic effects of a planet, one can worship the deity and recite the mantra associated with that star.

In Thiruvannamalai, Tamil Nadu, India, birthplace of Nithyananda, is located Sri Arunachala Dhyanapeetam, housing the Nakshatra Dhyaan Temple.

This Nakshatra Dhyaan Temple offers:

18 numbers of trees for each star The associated deity of each star amidst the trees. Facilities for meditation amidst the trees Growing pasture along the road side or path way Facilities to plant new saplings by devotees who wish to plant their respective star trees

Sri Arunachala Dhyanapeetam is a wonderful spiritual resort offering relief through nakshatra trees.
