Guest guest
Dear friends, The importance of a Guru in any field cannot be denied. I have had some association with the Indian music universities in India. There are still universities in India where the 'guru shishya parampara' is followed and the proper respect to the gurus is paid. One of those universities where a lot of importance is given to the traditions and Guru is the Khairagarh University in M.P. I think Music is one of those lines where Guru has been given a lot of importance and in this so-called modern world , still the tradition of touching feet of the guru is maintained. This is a field where 'vinamrata' is given the first and foremost importance. On this day if I may quote a few lines from a bhajan of Guru Nanak Jagat mein jhoothi dekhee preet Apne hi sur so sab laagyo Kya dara kya meet Mero mero sabhee karat hai Sukh de hare neet re Anta kaal sangee nahin kou Yeh acharaj ki reet Jagat mein... Guest guest
I appreciate the spirit behind the quote from Guru Nanak Dev ji's bani, but could not resist from correcting the same to the best of my knowledge and rememberance. It should be read as below. "Jagat mein jhoothi dekhee preet Apne hi sukh syo sab laage Kya dara kya meet" "Mero mero sabhee kahat hai Sukh de hare neet Anta kaal sangee nahin koi Eeh acharaj hai reet" Thanks Manjeet. , "khallopapa" <khallopapa> wrote: > Dear friends, > > The importance of a Guru in any field cannot be denied. Guest guest
Thank you so much for the corrections. Have you heard it in Rajan Sajan Mishra's voice. It's just wonderful. If not try to listen to it. manoshi , "mssodhi_in" <mssodhi_in> wrote: > I appreciate the spirit behind the quote from Guru Nanak Dev ji's > bani, but could not resist from correcting the same to the best of my > knowledge and rememberance.
