Default when to start a 40 days set

Dear Gururattan,

Once on the list you wrote about when is the best time to start a 40
days set, following some planets cycles.

Can you let me know more about this, and also, if its good for giving
us power to keep on doing a set for 40 days, is it also good for
others things like making decisions or special changes in our lifes?

thanks, and sat nam!

Sat Nam,

Start on the new moon and that happens to be tomorrow (or today for those in
Asia) New Moon in Taurus 23 of April.

lifes?

Yes. I found when I was fasting (years ago) when I started on the new moon
I could continue my fast to completion.

A general Kabbalah principle is between new and full moons make decisions
about what you want to bring into your life. After the full moon to new
moon make decisions about what you want to eliminate from your life.

SAt Nam,

Some general questions on KY sets?

It has been recent talk about doing a set for 40 days, is this the same set.
I've been doing the set for flexible spine(from the web site) on some days
and on other sets from the Shakti Khalsa book "Kundalini Yoga: The Flow of
Eternal Power" on other days(also Gurmukh tape). Should we stay with one set?

Also could you add on Sat Kriya to the end of the flexible spin set?

Have been adding some mantra to end of sets Long Ek Ong Kar's, Sat Nam, or
chakra medition(also from Khalsa book). Is this ok.

Thanks

Andy

Yes, the same kriya for 40 days in a row (once to experience a set,
40 days to get the full benefits of the kriya, 1,000 days for mastery)

That is up to you - listen to yourself. There are times when
switching around a lot is the right thing, and others when working on
a particular kriya for a while is the right thing. Experiment!

Whatever feels right to you is right.

All love surround you,

sat nam andy,

i also started ky with the set for flexible spine and some sets from "Kundalini
yoga: The Flow of Eternal Power". For now its not possible for me to
imagine to do the same sets for 40 days, so i switch between 3
differents sets, depending how i feel and the time i have.

Like many people are saying, its better to do 5 minutes of ky in a
day than nothing.
Keep on thinking doing it for the pleasure, not forcing your self to
do it, and maybe after some time you will feel the need to work on a
specific set for some time..

hope this help,

m-c

Yes. In the original Spinal set by YB Sat Kriya was the last exercise. It
is appropriate to add Sat Kriya at the end of almost any set or at the end
of warm ups if you have certain exercses that you want to do. Sat Kriya is
a kriya in inself so it satisfies the requirement of making sure you include
a kriya in your practice.

A meditation is very appropriate and recommended at the end of a set,
especially the ones that do not have a meditation incorporated into the set.
You may find that it is easier to maintain the energy of the set if you
follow it with a meditation and a prayer.

Sat Nam,
