Prophetic Dream

I had a very interesting & vivid dream in 2003, it was so
interesting & vivid that a few days after my dream, I was compelled
to write it down because I wanted to remember it so I could
understand it.

It is dated August 18, 2003. I knew the dream was important, but at
the time, I was unable to determine how it pertained to me & what
the significance was.

I dreamt that I was in an unfamiliar location in a natural setting
with a group of people {20 - 50 maybe) who were participating in
some kind of spiritual festival, celebration, pilgrimage, etc. The
majority of people were of East Indian or South American descent &
were mostly comprised of artistic, creative, spiritual & musical,
free-thinkers.

The leader of this group appeared riding on a huge {live} male lion
with a full mane ~ only the lion was the size of an elephant! The
man had a goatee, blonde hair ~ which was shoulder length & he had a
Native American type of headband on. He had no shirt on ~ & had a
decent tan, was wearing tan shorts {or maybe some kind of loin
cloth} hiking boots & was very attractive.

He was a new age type musician & had recently released a CD. He was
quite popular with the group & someone showed me the cover of his
CD, which was decorated with pink & purple artwork.

This man played a very significant role in which he was leading the
group that I was apart of to a very important location, that only a
few, select people were aware of. He was also of paramount
importance in relation to me. I had the distinct impression that I
was to join this man, to ride on the back of the lion with him. I
was also aware that I had never been to the location to which we
traveled.

I tried to locate an object (rock, tree, etc.) to climb on so I
could reach the lion's back (remember, it was the size of an
elephant!). A huge wooden platform "appeared" out of no-where & as
the man tried to position the lion next to the platform so I could
get on, I woke up!

I began having flashbacks of this dream in February or March of
2004. The catalyst was seeing a female deity riding on the back of
a tiger. I began wondering if there were female deities that rode
on the backs of male lions.

Since I've been told that there are over 33 million Hindu deities, I
figured it could take me forever to figure this one out.

On April 4, 2004, I visited one of my favorite Hindu related
websites, Sanatan Society & while I was looking at some of the Hindu
artwork there, suddenly, before my very own eyes appeared a painting
of Durga riding on the back of a male lion!!!!!!!

Then I realized that my dream had occurred during the same time-
frame that Sri Swamiji had visited the Datta Retreat Center in 2003,
August 11-16th!

And that Sri Swamiji has a CD that has a pink & purple cover, which
I recently purchased, Pancha Tattva Raga Malika!

And that I was only ten miles away from the Datta Retreat Center &
Sri Swamiji on Wednesday, August 13th, 2003, while my best friend,
Paul & I were visiting Starlit Cove in Harrisville, PA!

And that Paul & I had visited the Datta Retreat Center for the first
time only a week and a half after Swamiji's visit. We had come to
visit the healing rocks for the first time. Padma told us we had
just missed Him & we said, "Missed Who?" for at the time, we had no
idea that Swamiji actually visited the US. We just thought he had
founded the DRC & didn't actually visit it.

When I spoke with Paul briefly about my realizations, he reminded me
that Sri Swamiji experienced a previous lifetime in South America.
Even though the man in my dream had blonde hair, Paul felt that he
represented Sri Swamiji in some way.

While there are still aspects to this dream that I am still trying
to comprehend, I feel that it was such a unique experience that I
wanted to share with you, my beloved Datta Family.

Our Guru speaks to us through our dreams, through the rocks at DRC,
and directly to our hearts & Souls. I was late in responding to his
calling in 2003, I hope never again, never again!

I consider myself so very blessed to be a part of this wonderful
Datta Family, Sri Sri Sri Swamiji!
