food relief for Orrisa

By now you have all heard about the devastation in Orrisa. We have just
contacted the Bhubanesvara Temple as the phone lines were out for the last
four days. The devotees explained the situation is very bad and people are
starving as there is no food or water. From the Bhubanesvara temple they
have been sending out a van to distribute food for the last four days. The
people are so ravished by hunger they literally attacked the truck. The
temple president Prataparudra Prabhu has explained he can distrubute more
prasadam but he needs funds. Here at the Bombay temple we are sending $5000
immediately and have started a fund raising drive. I appeal to all of you to
send funds to help feed people prasadam this is really required. You can
send your donations to Iskcon Juhu Mumbai 49 India along with your letter
that your donation is for the emergency food relief effort in Orrisa. We
will immediately transfer the funds to our temple in Bhubanesvar. Bombay
devotees are also going to Bhubanesvar to help with the relief effort. When
our devotees find out more we will let you know how to send funds directly
to Bhubanesvar.
