Amma's Perfume

    Default Amma's Perfume

    Om Namah Shivayah,

Just wanted to share my joy over finding a scent that smells EXACTLY
like Amma's darshan. I had tried the "amma's rose" oil and all of the
others sold through the bookstore, and while I love them...they never
matched that intoxicating scent that we associate with Mother. In
fact, I doubted anything existed that could possibly be a match to
    it.

I have found an oil that is at least a 80% match to it....in of all
places...a new dollar store that just opened up down the street from
me. They have a rack of assorted aroma oils (for use on aroma rings
or burners) and the scent is by Natura Aromatique and is called "China
Rain". They also make incense sticks in the same fragrance. Needless
    to say, I stocked up

We had stopped in the store to pick up plastic bags and it turned into
a scene of "I can't believe this, this is amazing, how can this be?"
It really is that close of a match. I was catapulted right back into
Mothers arms as soon as I took the cap off. For only a dollar! It
is just has a little bit of a sweeter note than what Amma wears, but
it is amazingly close enough to flash you right back to the darshan
    hall.

The companies website is http://www.NaturaAromatic.com but it seems
like most of the pages are out of service.

How about this? The first three people to email me your address. I
will send a bottle to you and some incense sticks!

    Namaste Ananthasree,

This is so funny, I always smell Amma from time to time, sometimes my own
perfume smells like her on occasion so if I smell her sent, I always push it off
as "Oh that's just my perfume" even though this smells nothing like Amma, I
guess everything seems to smell like Amma to me. Sometimes I smell her but don't
have anything on and I toss it to being someone else's perfume. And still at
other times I can find no excuses so I have to accept that Amma is there. :-)
But recently I keep walking by one of my co-workers who has a sent that I
believe smells a lot like her as well. I asked her what it was and although I
don't remember the name of it she said it comes from a flower in Hawaii and they
only make it there, she did tell me there was a web site though. I told her that
I am going to come over and sniff her from time to time!

Believe it or not (I am not joking), J-Lo's Glow
smells EXACTLY like Amma. You can find it in any
    major department store.

You can also find Glow at Walgreens now. Not that I've looked.

    -OM Namah Shivaya dear ones!
For me personally, nothing even comes close to Marikolundu perfume
oil, which "Mothers Books" at Amma.org carries. Veda Vati, [who
usually is part of Amma's traveling entourage, selling essential oils,
perfume oils, etc. at one of the Bookstore booths on the
tour]...anyway, she told me when i bought my first bottle a few years
back, that Ammachi many times wears this perfume oil for Devi Bhava.
For me, everytime i smell it, it is like a little hug from Mother.

    Aum Amriteshwaryai Namaha,
    muktimaa
