$7K is a lot of money, even by Western standards! In some places we
can buy a block of land in Australia too. Vaastu Dosh can be
remedied. I do not doubt the siddhis possessed by the gentleman
Jyotishi in India. I am sure he is highly qualified and well-placed
to give you an accurate reading. However, those with true siddhis,
do not charge commercial fees; they accept donations instead, even
one dime, one fruit or one cloth.

I'm not a Vaastu expert but very happy to provide advice about Feng
Shui aspects if you scan a plan of your house and send by email. If
it is difficult to remedy (depending on the spot), and require hefty
renovations, then we shall find another method. Take heart.....
sometimes mirrors, sphatik or fountains in the right spot with
Rudraksha can help clear the problem. Especially 10 and 11 mukhis.
