Have given both your different situations some thought..... Just a
suggestion:

If you wish to try, then first begin a 40 sadhana asking Lord
Ganesha to Remove Obstacles; at the same time each day or evening.
Advisable to perform at least 108 rounds of the mantra:

Om GuNg Ganapataye Namaha.

Use a japa mala to count the mantras or put 108 toothpicks in a
bowl, then take one out each time you complete one mantra.

See how you go within 40 days..... If things change for the better,
please make a small donation to a temple, feed the poor or donate
some items to charity. After that, let's see how things are, before
we move to the next step.. Only try the above if you feel good
about it, not otherwise.. Keep us posted of your progress if you
wish.
