Default angery and disturbed - 05-12-2005, 04:25 PM

i recently drove up in my auto on 3 ducks that were hit by someone and i immediatly pulled over in a panic and ran as fast as i could as one seemed to be alive and hurt beyond help so i immeadatly desided to put it out of it pain. i felt so much anger at the person not stoping and at least fixing there mistake or carelessness. i was in a panic and cryed as i went to sleep about is i was deeply upset at this, plus i kinda wanted to beat the heck out of the person that did it.

is that bad?

why am i always seeing injured animals and stopping and having to put them out ?
why do i get so very upset and obligated to do this?
human misery usally does not bother me very much but animal misery does.
is this some karma issue or am i just some nut, the absolute worst part is i am a meat eater and i honestly feel evil doing it.
the only reason i do eat meat is i get sick and gain lots of weight being vegie. i am talking eating strict vegie in the our tradition (no cheating or over eating)and i gained 50 lbs and was sick and misrable and my stomach burned i tried every method of correcting it including seeing my VA indian doctor and he said eat meat your system will never take to vegie diet dispite your religion. he was a vegie too.
i find that disturbing that a indian vishnava doc said eat meat. not that he siad it that i must eat meat. he even asked a indian GI doc and he said foget the meatless diet.

Default Don\'t worry - 05-12-2005, 08:36 PM

What you should do is eat whatever necessary to keep yourself healthy. Keep looking for treatments that may help normalize your chemical situation and allow you to eat a meat free diet. Eat only what you NEED to and no more. If you must eat meat eat only Halal or Kosher. The animals suffer less. Understand that your life depends on animals giving up theirs and maybe start to do some work for or make donations to animals welfare organisations.

Default Really?? - 05-14-2005, 04:26 PM

Well I got my info from PETA. I know they were reporting some alleged Kosher places for non-practice but I don't know the details. I think Halal may be the best since it includes the living conditions of the animal also
