Please let me share with you what I found in a Kundalini article for
quitting smoking. When I seriouly try it, it works, but you need to
have time.

When you feel like smoking, breath and meditate. Do not stop your
desire for smoking, just accept it. Then light a cigarrete and feel
what the smoke does into your body when inhalating it. When
exhalating just feel it, go on if you have the desire, just accept
it. Smoke again and feel what your body is telling you and let it go.

I cannot smoke after the second time. The feeling lasts for hours.
But what is to be avoided is to smoke as we do, automatically,
without thinking. I am starting next month as I will have less work
and be more relaxed. I am sure that I am going to quit. Hope it works
for you.

Dear Gurusher:
Sage advice! I have no problem quitting. I just can't seem to do it for long
or forever. I have been at it since age 14, and am now 55. It is like saying
goodbye to a friend, even though that friend may kill me in the end. Prior to
my quitting before, if I had the urge I would go out for a long run. Eventually
those feelings passed and I was fine with myself. Then the emotional upheaval I
mentioned in my post to Curly came up. I am still smoking. Much luck in
quitting to you also!
