HELP locating DMSO

Hi Everyone ~

I'm hoping that someone out there lives in my area and can help me out

with this. I live near Sacramento CA. I need to purchase DMSO.

Point me in the right direction please? Quickly??

I need to make up some of the infection poulstice for my cat. It's a

long story but we've finally got the bite wound on his tail under

control. That is...all except for the pain management part. I'm

loathe to put an otc topical analgesic on it for reasons I'm sure you

can all understand. I know comfrey and other herbs will soothe it and

help it to heal and I want to the herbs to work as quickly and

efficiantly as possible. I know he is in pain because he keeps

futzing with it!!! Then of course it hurts worse and he hisses and

jumps around.

Any help is MUCH appreciated by Cisko Kidd!

tyia,

Natasha

Hi Natasha:

I am from Canada and I expect things operate a little differently in

the US, but most drug stores carry DMSO and even health food

stores...just tell them it is for you pet.

Oh, thanks. I've had a wide range of reactions from my local

pharmacists. Some of them didn't even think it could be purchased

any longer. <?>

TELL ME!!!! I thought it was it was a little strange that *I* was the

one informing the pharmacists about DMSO!!!!!

I even had one person at Kaiser say to me "you need a prescription for

that". No I don't!!!! geeeeez!!! I have to say this has been the most

frustrating thing! I went to the Rite-Aid, the Long's, the Walgreen's,

my local Kaiser Permanente pharmacy (our insurance so it only would

have cost me 5 bucks) , the GNC - oh AND I checked at the pharmacy at

the WalMart!!!

Nobody had it - no one seems to be able to get it - all of the

pharmancists at the different pharmacys checked to see if they could

order the DMSO - all of them told me 'no' ' we can't order that:" - I

really don't know what to do!!!

Frankly - this house runs on a cash only basis (and has for about 2

years - we had to do something to get out of debt in a reasonable

amount of time *grins*) which meant giving up the credit cards...which

means I can't just "order" via the internet.

Thank you for all of your relpys suggestions and help so far tho.

Like I said - if there is ANYONE out there who can tell me where to go

(a plaice where I can just walk in and buy it!!) - it would be MUCH

appreicieted. LIving with Cisko Kidd today has been a complete

nightmare.! This totally sucks that Doc is

incommundocado........because I really need to locate this stuff!

Thanks again (in advance)

Federal Law requires that we warn you of the following:

1. Natural methods can sometimes backfire.

2. If you are pregnant, consult your physician before using any natural

remedy.

3. The Constitution guarantees you the right to be your own physician

and to

prescribe for your own health.

We are not medical doctors although MDs are welcome to post here as

Hi Natasha, give Doc's office a call. I'm sure they could help you

get some :-)

I understand about your finances. In the UK we have something called

a DebitCard. It operates like a credit card in that you can buy

things on the internet and by phone, but the card is from your bank

and is connected to your bank account, so that you are debited with

that amount on your bank right away, so it's like using a cheque.

Don't you have something like that in the USA?

We have CVS pharmacies here and they did tell me they would order it

for me. Same with Walgreens. The prices varied greatly.

I don't know this for sure, but I bet you could get it from Doc. You

could mail the fee to him. Ask.

Try your local feed store or vet. I know it's not pharmacutical grade but it works wonders. It's what I use and i find it works better than pharmacutical grade.zengirl04 <zengirl04 wrote:

As suggested here, I found DMSO for $10 at the local Feed & Seed.

They told me that lots of people come in referred by their doctors

with the name written on a prescription note paper.

It's 99% pure and should do the trick.

Now, where to get 32 oz of Wintergreen oil? Anyone know?
