5 baby-friendly hospitals in city

KOCHI: The Academy of Paediatrics has declared five
hospitals in the city as `baby-friendly'.

The hospitals which have met the requirements for the
title are the Amrita Institute of Medical Science,
Lakeshore Hospital, Akshaya Hospital, V G Saraf
Memorial Hospital and Wellcare Hospital. These
hospitals will be declared `baby-friendly' by District
Medical Officer Dr V K Sumathy at a function to be
held at Lakeshore Hospital on August 5, 4 p.m.
District Collector Gyanesh Kumar will inaugurate the
function
