Country walk
Thought you might enjoy a walk in the Dutch countryside with us. We went looking for spoonbills that were supposed to stop along here. No spoonbills but lots of ducks, and geese, swans and other birds. As you can see it is a very overcast day, the wind is blowing in our faces and feels wonderful. It is very quiet here, the sights are simple. We walk towards the old pump house. Can you see it far away in the distance? Closer now we have some company... The pump house is a canvas for local creativity... We rest here for a bit and then walk towards some cows resting on the other bank... Walking back we spot a distant heron... and some country flowers... Tired and cold now, it is time for coffee and a Dutch waffle in Laren, an artist's colony sort of town...
