Default kundalini experience

Thanks for posting the http://www.realization.org/page/doc1/doc109a.htm
url, very interesting reading. I had part of the same experience that
was described on page 3, second paragraph regarding the nectar.

Since michael seems to be interested in reading about people's
experiences will write about it here. Hopefully I will not bore many
people :-) I do agree with Tony though that spiritual awakening may not
be possible without kundalini but realization is beyond it.

To backtrack a little, have read Paramahansa Yogananda's writings and
used to attend services at Self Realization Fellowship in San Diego, CA
in the 1970s in my early to mid 20s, have had an interest in eastern
thought systems for about 25 years now. I moved from there to northern
California, then to South Carolina for four years, then to central
Florida. Met some wonderful people there, one of whom is our very own
teegee, hi sweetie!

A few weeks before my kundalini opened, about 10 years ago, started
feeling the urge to do yoga postures during the night before going to
sleep. The nectar experience happened at home, was by myself at the
time. All my body fluids practically flew out of me and felt like I was
going to spontaneously combust! Not menopausal at the time so that did
not account for the heat. At no time was I in any pain but it did get my
attention! I went to a doctor afterwards thinking something was wrong
but after getting back lab results the doctor said I was fit as a
fiddle.

The experience while it was happening did leave me weak physically for a
few hours but it seemed familiar or right somehow. Was in the bathroom
drinking water from a glass that I had there to rinse out my mouth from
brushing my teeth trying to replace the water I lost, drank probably a
couple of gallons lol! I crawled out of the bathroom and got up into
the bed, slept for a few hours, then felt fine but wondering what in the
world happened. I told teegee about it and that's when I heard about
kundalini. When I got online a few years later, started reading up on it
more, nice to know that others have had this experience.

Am back in South Carolina now, my daughter, her hubby who is a wonderful
son-in-law and grandkiddo live here. Planning on seeing teegee and her
wonderful family this next late winter or early spring, really looking
forward to seeing them again since it's been about four years ago since
I've had the pleasure of their company. Thanks for letting me recount my
experience, on to cleaning up my patio and see what other kind of
mischief I can get into :-)

Dee

Namaste,

There is much hoo ha and folksy urban myth about Kundalini
experience. If one reads Lakshmana Swami and even Ramana you will see
they say it exists in imagination ie the mind.
What people call K is actually prana cleaning their dirty sheaths.
One doesn't crow about how much energy it takes to clean one's floor
does one?
Sarada Devi the consort of Ramakrishna Paramahamsa says the
K 'rises', by doing Japa.
Actually the cleaner the sheaths or kosas the less the activity. K
can rise imperceptibly for it is just the rise of consciousness.
My first experience was accompanied with surges of sound, energy,
bliss and I fell over from my sitting position. Since then I can feel
the energy circulating sometimes in meditation.
There is no point in getting attached to experiences within
delusion..So called K stops at the so called Crown Cakra anyway it is
within creation.....ONS...Tony.
