Re: Brief Introduction
Dear Madhava,
1n 1969 I left for India from the U.S. with one book in my backpack,
Nan Yar (Who Am I) by Rammana Maharshi. I spent 3 months at Ramana
Ashram where I studied all of Rammanas books as well as those of his
desciples. I then became one of the first western students of Swami
Dayanada Sarasvati, and spent the next two years traveling throught
India with him studying Gita and other works on Advaita Vedanta. In
1972 I met Swami Satchidanandenra Sarasvati of Holenarsapur(whom I
consider my real Guru) and remained with him till his Mahasamdhi in
1975. I am a sanskritist, and have spent the last 27 years studying.
translating and giving talks on Shankara Vedanta. I am merely a
Vedantic scholar and make no claims to any 'Spiritual Realization'.
