What the intellectuals have to say about Shrii P. R. Sarkar and his PROUT philosophy?

“Two doctrines have failed miserably in this country: free market capitalism and state socialism. The latter is counted out as dead. The former covers itself better by concealing the negative effects but the victims are even more numerous. The search is on for something better than those two 19th century Europeanisms. The search will soon lead us, amongst others, to Sarkar.

Sarkar will probably stand out as one of the truly great in this century, so much deeper and more imaginative than most. He is an intellectual giant of our times." - (Dr. Johan Galtung, Norway, Founder of UN Institute of Peace Studies)

“We are trying to honor this amazing man who was able to balance what we have been calling the vertical (subjective approach) and horizontal (objective adjustment)….. who was a real combination of the vertical and the horizontal energies..” – (Robert Bly, Eminent Poet and Writer, USA)

“Sarkar’s visionary philosophy, ideals and actional plans clearly point that his is a renaissance movement, the need of present day’s troubled humanity. Such a movement will surely spread and the humanity will accept it.” – (Dom Moraes, Noted Poet and Journalist, India)

“I came in touch with Shrii Prabhat Ranjan Sarkar through a case referred to my court. I am deeply touched by his intellectual brilliance. In my view his philosophy will spread and engulf the humanity at the earliest.” – (Justice Bhagawati Prasad Banerjee, Retired Justice, Calcutta High Court, India)

“To me, he was more of an economist than a spiritualist. Because, when he speaks of emancipation of mankind from poverty, to enable everyone to go for spiritual elevation, He is playing a role of an economist. He very well understood the drawbacks of top-down planning and advocated instead block level decentralized planning, long before the present day economists did it.” – (Dr. A. T. M. Jahrul Huq, Professor of Economics, Dhaka University, Bangladesh)

"Sarkar, in his own way, is more than the equal of the great historian Arnold Toynbee. Sarkar not only illuminated the growth and inevitable decline that comes from the 'acquisitive-Capitalist' stage in societal evolution that has now deeply infected the West, but offers wise counsel on what to do instead." - (Oliver W. Markley, Professor of Human Sciences, University of Houston at Clear Lake)

"Sarkar, who did more than thirty years of studies and practical concrete work with the poor population of India, is very important for all who yearn for a liberation which starts from economics and opens to a totality of personal and social human existence . . ." - (Leonardo Boff, Brazilian founder of Liberation Theology)

"Sarkar was one of the greatest modern philosophers of India." – (Former President of India, Giani Zail Singh)

“In the extraordinary world of today where the communication between the different parts of the globe has become easy and the open market economy has brought the humanity closer, the humanity is also divided on language and religion. Shrii Sarkar through his great contributions on linguistics and stress on cultural values through Prabhata Sam’giita and concept of Neo-Humanism gave an invaluable solution to humanity’s problem.” – (Shrii Kumar Ketkar, Editor, Maharastra Times)
