Atheism as a concept

Even though I am trying for Krishna Consciousness I am still unhappy. Where as my fellow Earthlings are happy in their blissful ignorance of spiritual existence which is a false concept anyway. Maybe God is a false concept, maybe Atheism is the way the Truth? Something to think about|

The mind will present a stream of questions and doubts to keep us occupied so we cannot perceive the buddhi-yogam coming from Paramatma. Atheism is a major stumbling block the mind can throw in our path. However if we remember the cover of the Bhagavad-gita we realize that it is neither the horses nor the steering mechanism that guide the perfect soul Arjuna's chariot. The control is placed in Krsna's hands. It is He who holds the reins in the painting.

We cannot hear God sing His song to us if the mind fills our consciousness with constant doubting chatter. The answers come from Paramatma, while the questions and doubts come from the world. Listen to the Song of God as recommended in the Bhagavad-gita. Listen to the answers.

Stand and fight. Let Krsna teach you the Gita as you perform your duty; but do your duty, stand and work. Taste the honey this time, let Him give you faith.

Yes atheism is the best way to the happiness that is found in hedonism. Turn of the feeling that there is a God and our actions do have consequences that extend beyond the immediate gratification of the senses.

The pig eatting a fresh pile of human stool also enjoys this so-called happiness.

But when we learn there are consequences and there is a God and an unlimited life of bliss in His association then we must make the journey into His presence no matter the cost. Traveling is often difficult so it must be to a destination that is worth the price.

That most of us are still trying to calculate and come to terms with in our own lives. We are slow learners.

Yeah, its like holding a gun to your head.

Curious...why did you say...if the mind fills our consciousness with constant doubting chatter

Your talking about the Soul Conscious. Higher than the Intelligence. /images/graemlins/wink.gif

Think about this one for a while Pankaja. It is very important. This is Vaisnava silence. Only Krsna is to be heard. And that from the purified soul because it is only through their sound vibration that Krsna enters our hearts.

The rest of us when trying to speak Krsna katha speak only a reflection of Him. Even this will purify us but we should be mindful of the difference.

Our materially molded minds are just echo chambers for all the disconnected sights sounds and feelings of the material world. We most often think that it is us thinking and take what comes out of such a mind very seriously. But it is not us. Just a perverted reflection replaying over and over like a bad tape on auto reverse.

<center>The singer: <font color=blue>The Autocrat, Sri Krsna.</font></center>

American Heritage Dictionary definition:<blockquote>autocrat - NOUN: 1. A ruler having unlimited power; a despot.

2. A person with unlimited power or authority: a corporate autocrat.

ETYMOLOGY: French autocrate, from Greek autokrats, ruling by oneself : auto-, auto- + -krats, -crat</blockquote>

From a recent VNN article:<blockquote>On the 6th of November is the 109th Appearance Day of OM VISNUPAD PARAMAHAMSA SRILA BHAKTI RAKSAK SRIDHAR DEV-GOSWAMI MAHARAJ. One kind of worshipping him is to listen to his nectarean words:

<blockquote>"The autocrat has chalked out a path and I am exclusively following that path. If we do not follow or if we stand still, that is an offence. And if I go in another direction, that is also an offence. We must follow in the footsteps of that Autocrat. The principal way of upper life is to follow in the footsteps of the Autocrat in a serving mood. This is the real path. All our illusions will be conquered if we can only try to accept this principle of life. If we do not try for this, it is an offence even to our own selves.

And if we do otherwise, that is also an offence. This is law above all law.

And for our own best interests, we must mark this..

Following His footsteps faithfully, as no other law is possible here, because Krsna is actually the Autocrat. We shall not be the losers because He is a sweet and loving Autocrat. He is the Autocrat but He is sweet. And you will also get sweetness, fulfilment and love by following in the footsteps of that Autocrat. Beauty is the Autocrat; Sweetness is the Autocrat; Love is the Autocrat ? and that is beyond all law. We are required by that dynamic character to follow in those footsteps everywhere to the nearest millimetre."</blockquote></blockquote>
