Want to learn how to cook

I am very discouraged because I want to learn how to cook and have absolutely no resources to work with. I wont go to a cooking school that requires one to work with meat fish or eggs. Is there any vegetarian school in the north east of the USA? I am so dumb with this stuff that doing it myself with a book is not an option. I need supervision!

you can learn best by cooking with an expert. I happen to know one such expert who lives in the s. east. If you have time available he is very enthusiastic to teach. Let me know if you are interested and I could probably hook you up with a good arrangement for learning.
