Dill,

----------------

Yes, I have taken this message in the wrong way, it is the only way it can be taken. You are using such harsh worlds such as spiritual sucide, indirectly to the Swaminarayan sampradhy. Whar right do you have (*Vijay) to express your opinion in such a such a nature.

-----------------

Well Vijay has just stated the shastra and as per shastra it is right. All that he is saysing is that it is a huge risk without authority of shastra to accept someone as GOD on mere sentiments.

-----------------

You mayby a follower of Lord krishna, even i have SOME reverence for him but this does not mean the every Hindu IN THE WORLD HAS TO WORSHIP kRISHNA- what are you talking about.

------------------

That is true! But All great souls like Narada, Brahma, Shriva , four kumaras ask one to worship krishna. Also Shankararachya, Madhvacharya, Ramanujacarya and others Agree Krishna is GOD and is to be worshipped. They are authorities. I can quote appropriate and bonafide vedic shastra if you would like.

Here is some evidence of the same form the Gita itself.

Chapter 18. Conclusion--The Perfection of Renunciation

TEXT 66

sarva-dharman parityajya

mam ekam saranam vraja

aham tvam sarva-papebhyo

moksayisyami ma sucah

SYNONYMS

sarva-dharman--all varieties of religion; parityajya--abandoning; mam--unto Me; ekam--only; saranam--surrender; vraja--go; aham--I; tvam--you; sarva--all; papebhyah--from sinful reactions; moksayisyami--deliver; ma--not; sucah--worry.

TRANSLATION

Abandon all varieties of religion and just surrender unto Me. I shall deliver you from all sinful reaction. Do not fear.

-------------------

And to your your indirect reference that Bhagvan Swminarayan having no spiritual authority- in the Bhagvat Gita, Lord Keishna states that he lives within Purna Purshottam- This is Lord Swaminarayan.

--------------------

Krishna being purna(complete) and purush uttama (The Best Person) has noting to do with swami narayan at all. Again mere sentiment is useless.

-------------------

Faith in one paticular God i no beter than the other-Always remember this and frome now- never post such negative comments

--------------------

For faith in Lord Krishna read the verse i have posted above.

There was nothing negative in the comment posted by vijay.

Vijay is doing the duty of a sadhu and that is cut through all the sentimental maze of ideas and establish what Krishna explains in the Gita. He has no self motive otherwise.

Again what will you do eternally after you will be supposedly liberarted by swami narayan ? Do you have any idea or you you just have blind faith ?

Its not my opinion, its stated in the bhagvatam in the 12th canto as well as many other scriptures that vedic religion will degenerate through out kaliyuga, with people worshiping imitator gods, discarding the culture given by the vedas inventing thier own mantras etc. Therefore i am expressing the clear opinion of vyas and many other acaryas.

Believe me the scriptures use much harsher words than spirtual suicide, please take notice. (Even in vachanamrita it critices the followers who believe in nirakar bramhan) Harshness is used to drill into our sentimental heads the importance of what is being said.

"You mayby a follower of Lord krishna, even i have SOME reverence for him but this does not mean the every Hindu IN THE WORLD HAS TO WORSHIP kRISHNA- what are you talking about."

I never said everyone has to worship krishna, but worship some, any form of vishna tattva you are garunteed liberation according to the vedas. Thats rama, narasinga, vamana, krishna, vishnu, narayana and many more MENTIONED IN VEDA. All these are bonifide according to sastra, there are bonafide mantras and worship to attain them exponded in puranas, ithasasa's and the sruti sastras. But its up to you if you dont want to take the garunteed menthod even advocated by the person you worshp and want to take a completely different path prone to many interpretations then thats your risk.

"And to your your indirect reference that Bhagvan Swminarayan having no spiritual authority- in the Bhagvat Gita, Lord Keishna states that he lives within Purna Purshottam- This is Lord Swaminarayan."

Again more sentiment and ignorance being propogated - no where does it say krishna lives in purna purshatam, he says he is the ultimate pursha nothing is higher or equal to him repeatedly to get that clear in our heads, and definately no swaminarayana mentioned.

"Faith in one paticular God i no beter than the other-Always remember this and frome now- never post such negative comments "

I rather believe whats in shastra as a person in kali yuga our tendency is to be easily cheated, as we have imperfect sences and therefore a tendency to be illusioned. God himself says in the bhagvatam and gita that we should use our intelligence to discriminate as it is not recomended that we worship anything and anyone due to a feeling. We have to go by the torchlight of knowledge which begins with following scripture given to us by vyas. If your buying a house you will not just buy cos you've been told to, or you like the colour of it, you will do so much research to find out if the insides are okay, if theres damp, legal checks arrange finance, research the area, so when we are trying to worship god we must be even more vigilant and careful, finding out what scripture.

Try and follow the scripture as it clearly states, not pick and choose trying to find places to justify what you are doing. All our acts have to be sanctioned by scripture otherwise it comes under vikarma (Acts not athorised by scripture) which leads us to the lower planets, so our mantras our worship has to be athorised by scripture, not something we sentimentally believe is correct. Again in scripture many mantras are given that will lead us to the spitual kingdom of god - GARANTEED by veda, previous acrayas and even your founder, now if you choose to ignore scripture and choose something not in scripture which as i mentioned is especiually written for us then thats your risk.

change the theory to suit the facts, not change the facts to fit your theory.

This is a pathetic discussion...the Hare Krshna people have failed to grasp the most simplest of concepts put forward by Swaminarayan (one word) followers...and which is why we keep going round and round in circles.

At the end of the day, Hare Krshna ppl are going to refuse to accept anyone other than Krshna or Caitanya as God, no matter what logical arguments or evidence that is presented. Yet with so much ignorance they believe the Holy Shikshapatri instructs worhsip of Shree Krshna ONLY as the Hare Krshna's know Him - isn't that bigotted and narrow minded?

Surely the Geeta states "Whenever there is decline in the righteousness, O Bharata! I manifest myself. For saving the righteous and for destroying the evil-doers and for restoring the righteousness I am born in every age."

I would recommend the Hare Krshnas read Raymon B Williams' biography and THEN give an opinion - rather than presenting an argument based on sheer ignorance.

The Hare Krshnas can deny what they want, but the underlying reason is not fact or objective reasoning, but moreso irsha, matsar and dvesh bhava.

So why do people worship Swaminarayan in the pure form (not BAPS, Muktajeevan etc.)? You cannot compare to Sai Baba because its widely known how Sai Baba worship is purely on a materialistic basis.

You think people are wasting their time worship some has-been called Swaminarayan rather than worship Krishna whom 'guarantees' moksha?...funny I heard the same thing from Jehovah's Witnesses....

Sorry I really dont understand what your saying here.. "followers"???? is that a justification for worshipping someone????

"At the end of the day, Hare Krshna ppl are going to refuse to accept anyone other than Krshna or Caitanya as God, no matter what logical arguments or evidence that is presented. We also accept vishnu, narayana, rama, vamana nrsinga etc as god. GOD is revealed by sastra his worship is revealed by sastra, not sentiments of people. Even demigod worship is recognised as athorised in sastra, but the worship you talk about, your mantra etc according to sastra is a concoction. You may think im being bigotted and narrow minded but these are the statements of srimad bhagvatam. We have to see through the eye of scripture, not sentiment.

"Surely the Geeta states "Whenever there is decline in the righteousness, O Bharata! I manifest myself. For saving the righteous and for destroying the evil-doers and for restoring the righteousness I am born in every age."

Yes the gita states that, but that verse is used by so many bogus incarnations like sai baba etc. If there are specific verses stating that swaminaryana is the source of all incarnations or the swaminarayan mantra anywhere in scripture, then i would be interested to learn of that. Vyasdev wrote the scriptures for us and gave predictions of up and coming incarnations cos he knew us people in kaliyuga are really thick so out of compassion he gave us the process of getting back to godhead very clearly what mantras to chant whom to worship, now if your saying actually what he wrote doesnt matter as you know better then I rather accept vyasadeva and our scriptures.

"Raymon B Williams' biography " Again ive read many stories and biogrophies by followers of sai, and some other baba in south india who claims he is also god and stories by his followers, these guys arent my athority, vyasadvea and the hindu/vedic scriptures he wrote are my athority as they come form a perfect source.

"rather than presenting an argument based on sheer ignorance." Are arguments are based on sastra not peoples biographies or sentiment.

"The Hare Krshnas can deny what they want, but the underlying reason is not fact or objective reasoning, but moreso irsha, matsar and dvesh bhava."

Dont try to imagine peoples motives.

GOING BACK TO MY SIMPLE POINT -

We worship either narayan/krishna/rama/nrsinga all these are clearly presented in hindu/vedic scripture everywhere. Vyas gives us the way and mantra to worship them. Vyas the giver of the vedas garantess in scripture that this process worship will take us back home, So do the great acaryas in the past few thousand years say this. No risk.

YOU WORSHIP SOMEONE NOT CLEARLY MENTIONED in vedas, not only that, you worship him as avtari, you use a mantra and worship not recommended by Vedic scripture or any previous acarya in the past 2000 years. Risky.

Simple. Is that not logical?

So Vijay - you epitomize my point exactly - failing to understand the most basic of arguments that the Swaminarayan followers have presented. That is a direct result of the narrow mindedness....

Sai Baba and his followers will claim him to be God, but put that idea to the side for the moment. Look at his work and his teaching and evaluate whether they are based on Vedic or Puranic principles...clearly not. There is also no reference in the main scriptures to validate his claim of being god.

Study Swaminarayan's teachings and his work. Prof. Raymond Williams is an academic with a purely intellectual interest in the work of Swaminarayan. Prof. Williams himself is a devout Christian. His work on Swaminarayan is purely objective as his own ishtadeva is Christ.

The suggestion to read His work on Swaminarayan Hinduism is to obtain an objective view of what exactly the Swaminarayan Sampraday is about and what Swaminarayan's teachings were...so again it would be NARROW MINDED minded to dismiss his work as similar to the writings of academics whose ishtadeva is also the subject of the research or work.

Evidence has been presented time and time again on these forums and elsewhere as to the authenticity of the forecast of Swaminarayan Bhagwan's arrival on this Eart. Yet each and every time the Hare Krshnas dismiss it as adulteratation of the Scriptures!! A clear case of, if it conforms to your own beliefs and preconceived notions then accept it - if not, then the scriptures are adulterated!!

'Risk' does not come into worship - faith does. Find one single instance in Swaminarayan's teachings, be it in the Vachanamrut or Holy Shikshapatri, which contradicts Ved Vyas's teachings in the Vedas or Puranas - you will not find one.

It seems more like that Hare Krshnas will only accept the fact that Krshna has only BEEN as Caitanya and will only come as Kalki - a rigid restriction to put on the God Almighty!

Let's not forget, Krshna worshipped Govardhan, Ramachandra worshipped Shiva and Swaminarayan Himself was a vaishnava. His temples that continue His legacy and have installed deities of Shree Krshna as Nar Narayan, Radha Krshna, Lakshmi Narayan etc which were declared as 'images of Himself'. Indeed Swaminarayan also installed images of His own likeness as Harikrshna Maharaj.

Observe the method of worship in these temples and try faulting them as not consistent with the teachings of the Adi Acharyas.

It is unfair, ignorant and indeed arrogant, to reject and dismiss any faith or religion or following without sufficient prior knowledge. Study the philosophy and teachings of the Swaminarayan Sampraday and then share your views, otherwise the time is better spent singing the glory of Lord Shree Krshna....

I have not dismissed your evidence, nor have i accepted it until i get it validated by someone who has a greater grasp of sanskrit than i do. Again i think you fail to grasp my simple point that it is a risk for me or any other vaishnava, to recomend someone to be a follower of swaminaryana based on 1/2 verses with references to his parents which may or may not be accurately translated, and therefore recomend the swaminaryana movements. I would rather recomend them to chant the names of ram, krishna, narayana as these have thousands of clear verses in the vedas. I find it starnge that an avtari arrives in kaliyuga and vyasdeva who wrote the scriptures for the thick inhabitents of kaliyuga has hardly any mention of him (if any).

I have been bought up in the isso sampradya of swaminarayan, i have read vachanamrita and sikshapatri and many lectures by the swaminaryan saints, recently I had a discussion with madhvapriya swami when doing a bhagvat katha at the local swaminaryana temple which my parents go to. I dont claim to be a scholor in the swaminaryan mission but do have some knowledge. But your right my time is "better spent singing the glory of Lord Shree Krshna...."

There seems to be a heated discussion about Lord Swaminaryan not being an incarnation of Krishna. That is, it is not mentioned in the main scripture of sanatan dharma. But those who believe in Lord Krishna as Supreme, is there a scripture which predicts Lord krishna's arrival before he did. From what i understand, we have all accepted this from the Bhagvat Gita, and other scriptures when Lord Krishna showed his true form to Arjun. In other words, Lord Krishna states that he is God supreme. Similarly, in the Vachnamrut, Lord Swaminarayan states, in an assembly, that the person you see infront of you is the same as that in Akshardham, the Lord's abode. Im sure that at Lord Krishnas time, there were those who doubted him just like those who doubt Lord Swaminaryan.

I liked this so just copy/pasted this here

"Escape! Yes this is exactly what we are trying to do, to escape the clutches of maya and the cycle of birth and death. We are escaping this jail. We are escaping back for home, back to Godhead. Chanting the holy name gives you a hot-rod ride to escape.

Hare Krsna Hare Krsna Krsna Krsna Hare Hare Hare Rama Hare Rama Rama Rama Hare Hare. Chant the holy name. Chant the holy name. Chant the holy name. There is no other way. Hare Krsna Hare Krsna Krsna Krsna Hare Hare Hare Rama Hare Rama Rama Rama Hare Hare. All Glories to the Holy Name! All Glories to the Holy Name! All Glories to the Holy Name! Hare Krsna Hare Krsna Krsna Krsna Hare Hare Hare Rama Hare Rama Rama Rama Hare Hare. "

"But those who believe in Lord Krishna as Supreme, is there a scripture which predicts Lord krishna's arrival before he did. "

If you do some research you'll find that the scriptures where written by vyas when krishna came to the planet, so to say is he predicted in scripture doesnt make sence, however before krishna came to the planet the vedas where recieved in oral transmission.

At a young age if you read mahabharat krishna was recognised even by his astrologer as one who comes in 3 yugas, parshurama knew krishna was coming, sandipani muni knew who krsna was, as well as many other sages and demigods who came to see him. Vyas deva knew krishna as god, he knew past present future, he wrote the vedas and in there krishna is mentioned in srutis and smritis.

Its not the case only when krishna told or showed evryone is form that people recognised him he was recognised even before his arrivals by sages.

He is also been said to be worshipped as jaganath even before his arrival on the planet.

There was also a demon who claimed to be the incarnation krsna, krsna eventually killed him (Does anyone know the name?)

Hope that helps.

Reason Why Lord Swaminarayan is Supreme Godhead

1) Spiritual Trance (Samadi)

Samadhi is the eight step of Astang Yoga and is only possible after hundreds of years of Penance.

Rushi’s in India have tried to reach this state of mind for hundreds of years and only a few have succeeded. Chanting the name of Lord Swaminarayan one can attain Samadhi. In Samadhi your are in spiritual trance, your mind leaves your body, you become formless. Maharaj and even his Saints have the power to take you into Samadhi.

2) Other Gods emerged in the Murti of Lord Swaminarayan

In Samadhi Lord Swaminarayan gave people the darshan of their own Gods and then showed them praying to Lord Swaminarayan and then emerged in the Murti of Lord Swaminarayan.

The Murtis of other Gods are his own form, which are installed in our Swaminarayan Mandirs. Ganesh and Hanumanji in our temple have tilak and chandlo they are in fact another form of the Lord himself called Sankalpa Swaroop (Will -Manifest).

3) Gave himself his own name Swaminarayan

Lord Swaminarayan gave his own name Swaminarayan on the 14th day after the departure of Ramanand Swami to Akshardham. His parents Dharamdev and Bhaktimata called him by the name Ghanshyam. Markand Rushi gave him the name Krishna, Hari Krishna and Neelkanth Varni. Ramanand Swami called him by the name of Sahajanand Swami.

Lord Swaminarayan said that there are many Narayans, I will name a few:

Suryanarayan is said,Vairatnarayan is said,Narnarayan is said, Laxminarayan is said and Vasudevnarayan is said and Satyanarayan is also said .that he is the Swami of all the Narayans, so I will be known as Swaminarayan. Maharaj declared himself to be the creator and controller of the entire cosmos, all Brahmands, the one and only Supreme.

4) Celibacy (Brahmcharya)

It has been said that in Rama Avatar only Hanumanji was a celibate and in the Krishna Avatar Bishmapita was the only celibate. Lord Swaminarayan was a celibate and so were thousand of his saints and Hari Bhakts There is a saying that it is not possible for women to be celibate, but Lord Swaminarayan had 500 to 600 ladies who were called Sankh yogi.

When Lord Swaminarayan arrived in Ramanand Swami’s Ashram in Loj he saw a hole in the wall. The Lord asked why it was there, Muktanand Swami explained that the ladies give the saints burning coal, to this Maharaj replied. That is not a hole in the wall but a hole in our Satsang and had it blocked up.

5) Lord Swaminarayan Killed the enemy within (Antar satru ne marya)

Lord Swaminarayan did not take up a weapon, but he still killed the inner enemy in a person such as desire, anger, greed, delusion etc, he believed in Non-violence.

Ram & Krishna Avtars killed demons like Ravan, Kans and Shishupal. Lord Swaminarayan killed the inner enemies in Villians like Joban Pagi, Magni Ram, Muni Bawa and Valero Velu. Joban Pagi was a great robber and would kill any one who came in his way. Lord Swaminarayan did not kill him but abolished the inner weakness, and made him a true Satsangi.

6) Gave Darshan and took a soul to Akshardham

Lord Swaminarayan gave his devotees divine Darshan and took them to Akshardham. Even today Lord Swaminarayan and Bapashri have known to give the time when they would take them to Akshardham. By doing so, Maharaj had delivered his devotees from the fear of death.

7) Lord Swaminarayan in “Ever Present” (Sadya Pragat)

Lord Swaminarayan is ever present in four forms:

Pratima - Lord Swaminarayan Murti

Sant - Saints

Pustak - Holy scripts like Vachnamrut, Shikshapatri and Bhaktichitamni.

Acharaya - Head of Satsang like Ayodyaprasad and Raghuvirji.

8) Built Temples (Mandirs) and installed his own murti’s

Having Installed his murti’s in the temples, he instilled in them his divine power. Maharaj has promised that he shall for ever remain self-revealed in these idols, and will answer our prayers and fulfil our right wishes. Maharaj has said so not look upon these luminous murti’s as idol of wood, stone or paper for he eternally dwells in them.

Ahmadabad - Installed the Murti of Shree Narnarayan by Anandanad Swami

Bhuj - Installed the Murti’s of Shree Narnarayan by Vaishnavandan Swami

Vadtal - Installed the Murti’s of Shree Laxminarayan by Brahmanand and

Aksharanand Swami

Dolera - Installed the Murti’s of Shree Madan Mohanji Maharaj by

Nishkulanand & Adbhutanand Swami

Junaghadh - Installed the Murti’s of Shree Radha Raman Dev by Brahamand Swami

Gadhada - Installed the Murti’s of Gopinathji Maharaj by Viraktanand Swami.

9) In his presence the holy scripts were written

It is said that the Ramayan and Bhagwat Gita were written thousands of years after Lord Ram and Lord Krishna were on Earth by Narshi Mehta. Lord Swaminarayan’s Vachanamrut, Shikshapatri, Satsangijivan , Satsangibhushan etc. were written in his presence.

10) Freed Devotees from the cycle of life and death.

All other Gods give Salvation (Moksha), Lord Swaminarayan has given Last birth (Anatant Moksha). He closed all the doors to all heavens and left only one path, the path to Akshardham .

Hear Hear!!!

This is absolutr truth. Lord Swaminarayan (Sahajanand Swami) is predicted in many texts, but the reader himself becomes so brahmit to realise this truth. Skand Puran, Vasudev Mahatmyam. Viswaksen Samitah etc. All declare it.

Nar Narayan is this very same Lord Swaminarayan.

Lord Nar Narayan is also saakshaat Vasudev in Golok:

Adhyay 20, Shloka:8 narad to Nar Narayan

tvamev sakshaat bhagwaan vasudevo aksharatpara

sreyase sarvabhutanam varta setra dayanidhi

This is also within the Vasudev Mahatmya. It is this Lord Swaminarayan who bought back the importance of Nar Narayan Dev who is the King of Bharat Khand and lives in Badrik Ashram. Lord Nar Narayan was cursed here by durvasa and here he decided to be rebprn as Swaminarayan to His original parents Dharm and Moorti (Bhakti).

(Ad 18 shl: 42-44).

Lord Swaminarayan named Golok as Akshar dham as well. This term can also be seen in Skand Purans vasudev mahatmyam as well:

Narad uvaach

bhagvanstva taprasaden tamham parmeshwaram

vasudevam samaloke sthitam akshardhamni

(akshardham is where Shri Krishna is.

AD 19 Shloka: 11

There you Go, for all the people who say there is no Akshardham which Lord Swaminarayan talks of.Ekantik Bhaktraj Narad Himself says it. So you people think your bigger than Narad in your worship?

Its all genuine, the whole sampraday is. in no way whatsoever does it cross the regulations of the Sanatan Vedik Dharm. But no matter what evidence we followers of Swaminarayan Sampraday provide you will doubt it all.

Lord Swaminarayan (Sahajanand Swami) Himself states the same. Why wouldnt He? It is the same Vasudev.

Swaminarayan Bhagwaan Ki Jay

Nar Narayan Dev Ki Jay

Lakshmi Narayan Dev ki Jay

Radha Krishna Dev Ki Jay

I have given quotes my friend it is you who is blind as you do not answer them nor do you believe in them.

But i do not blame you as you have krishna and i too have Krishna so our destination according to me and Lord Swaminarayan is one.

Do one thing for me then in the meant time.

.Find that Nar Narayans incarnation that is promised to Narad within the Vasudev Mahatmyam.

.Find the Dharm as His father as promised

.Find the murtidevi as His mother as promised

.Find that Muni who cursed the Lord to be born

.Find that Samvedi Brahmin (dvij) family

.Find that incarnation in the Kaliyug which will be incarnation according to the time given (kaliyug)

AS I HAVE FOUND HIM. MY VERY OWN LORD SWAMINARAYAN(SAHAJAND SWAMI).

But dont cry if you cant as you have found the same Lord Krishna anyway. This doesnt mean you fight The Lord (Bhagwaan Swaminarayan) with your knowledge of the Same Lord (Bhagwaan Krishan).

Swaminarayan bhagwaan ki JAY JAY JAY.

<blockquote>QUOTE: "This doesn't mean you fight The Lord (Bhagwaan Swaminarayan) with your knowledge of the Same Lord (Bhagwaan Krishna)."</blockquote>

Guest, your critics here demonstrate no class. So it is apparent they have no knowledge of Krsna at all - just words they read somewhere. Don't worry about their meaningless emotional responses.

They have no access to the Skanda Purana, etc. (except the superexcellent Siksapatri), therefore they can hold no valid opinions one way or the other. And even if they were to doubt his divinity, it would be next to impossible not to see Sahajananda Swami as a great vaishnava guru. So a wise man should tread very lightly on the toes of his lotus feet.

Perhaps hearing more of the wisdom distributed by Sahajananda Swami would be more productive and invite less offense.

I am Sahajanandi Sinh. I see Krishna in Sahajanand and Sahajanand in Krishna. Akshardham is his abode and i do not aim for this as i desire not mukti but i desire the hapiness of God upon me. Just like Lord Swaminarayan has said for a param bhagwat bhakt. My aim is to become this param bhagwat bhakt.

From the Shikshapatri of Sahajanand Swami:<blockquote>The Tenth and the Fifth Skandas of Shrimad Bhagavat shall supremely serve the object of realizing the majesty and the glory of the Lord's greatness. (98)

That Ishwara is Lord Shree Krishna: Parabrahman, Bhagawan, Purushottam, our beloved deity and cherished God. He is worthy of worship and devotion by all, and is the source of all incarnations. (108)

Therefore no distinction or discrimination shall be made between one and the other of these manifestations. Lord Krishna is permanently two-armed. It is only out of His sweet will that he assumes the different forms like the four-armed, the eight-armed, or the thousand-armed. (112) - [Note: see Shrimad Bhagavat verse 1.3.28 to fully understand 108 and 112]

Our followers shall respectfully listen to the Tenth Skanda of Shrimad Bhagavat daily or at least once in a year. The learned persons shall read it daily or at least once in a year. (117)

Our Satsangi followers shall daily engage themselves in the reading of Shikshapatri. Those who are illiterate and incapable of reading shall reverently attend to the listening of Shikshapatri. (208)</blockquote>

At Ratha-Yatra I see and worship Sri Krsna as Lord Jagannatha. I know that They are the same. Yet different. "Lord Krishna is permanently two-armed. It is only out of His sweet will that he assumes the different forms like the four-armed, the eight-armed, or the thousand-armed. - [siksapatri 112]"

I bow down to Shree Krishna

To that Lord of Radhika

That Lord of the dark hue

Of a new monsoon cloud

Whose ears shine

With bejewelled kundalas

And a peacock feather

Adorns His great diadem.

Both His hands hold

The melodious flute

On His divine lips;

Flowers from His diadem

Exhale sweet smell,

He walks with the grace

Of a female elephant

To that Lord of Radhika

I bow down to Shree Krishna.

JAy Swaminarayan.

What you say above is beautiful. Its what My Sahajanand Swami wrote and said. He also said that he is this very same Krishna He talks of. This is within His Vachanamrut.

Love the shriradhikakrusnashtak.

Exactly. Lord Swaminarayan was Krishna himself. He came in his two handed original form. He was also given the name of Krishna at birth by Markandya Muni who declared that He was Krishna Supreme from Golok.

Of course Lord Swaminarayan would write of Krishna. As He is this very same Krishna. This is our faith and He Himself Declared such.

Thousands even saw this in Samadhi.

Swami Narayan, known during his lifetime as Swami Sahajanand. was a

devotee of Lord Narayan, or Krsna. He taught that Bhagavan, or the

Supreme Lord, is the supreme truth, and that the purpose of life is to

devote oneself to the Lord. This is a very legitimate teaching. But

some of Swami Sahajanand's followers later proclaimed him Narayan, the

Lord Himself (Bhagavan). The sect of followers who held to this belief

gradually gained some popularity, and the sect is still continuing

today, mainly among the Gujarati community. In the Krsna consciousness

movement, we respect Swami Sahajanand as a devotee of the Lord, just

as he presented himself to be, but we do not accept him as God, for

lack of evidence from scripture. But scriptures like Bhagavad-gita and

Srimad-Bhagavatam all confirm Lord Krsna to be Bhagavan--the Supreme

Lord--and therefore we worship Krsna.
