theist 1 Report post Posted September 8, 2003 I don't really think there is such as thing as national karma. I picture karma being much more individualized. So many people may get hit by some disaster but many others escape it. People may get put together to experience their karma in a group setting but it is still certain individuals experiencing it, and even then their fates are often individualized. Say someone is a vegan and the rest of his nation is composed of cow killers. Is that vegan then charged with the karma due the cow killers just because they were born into the same nation? Kulapavana 0 Report post Posted September 8, 2003 Karmic reactions are very complex. Kings were said in the Vedas to be receiving part of good and bad reactions of their subjects. In the modern sense and context of democracy, are the voters responsible karmicly for actions of their governments or elected officials? we have also all kinds of material obligations: to parents, forefathers and to our country as well. That indicates some karmic link as well... Manu Samhita probably covers that subject.
