No, no, no. This cannot be. Shyam, I have appreciated many of your posts. It was a refreshing perspective that gave us all a new look at our own understanding; back to the Gita, back to the basics, back to faith in our Selves.

Even after sixty posts, no one else had taken exception to your birth year. Sometimes people act on the mental platform when they lose contact with Paramatma, and make mistakes. Perhaps you can show tolerance for this one instance. Your attendance, your heritage here is valuable to many sincere souls.

Please, stay, Shyam. This is where Krsna wants you to be.

HI.,

Nice to know that you have read my posts in the past.

You are right. I dont have to care about someone's immatured comments. But Its not out of hurt or ego or anything i felt like not posting anymore, but honestly I am tired of dealing with people in this country ever since I came here. This not only includes the americans, but also some of the Indians who have settled here for more than 20 to 30 years especially the younger generations. I dont know how their minds change or this is their level of thinking. Its really sick to deal with it, when they suspect you for nothing. Right from begining, when I came here alone and trying to talk to people just to have some friends, people did not extend any friendship, rather they talk nonsense, or try to take advantage which is really shocking. I was under impression that this forum is written by people with some spiritual elevation, but later in course of time, i realised that most of them (not all) read some books and talk the same things whether they actually follow such principles in their lives or not. When they follow spirituality or atleast trying to understand, certainly they will not talk nonsense, but rather they would try to analyse. First one must keep their mind pure without any corrupted thoughts which i dont find with some people here. I truely feel I am a wrong person in this country itself.

Well I am a research scientist and I have come to conclusion that Krishna wants me to concentrate only on that and that I am doing now. This is fine for me and spirituality and aquiring knowledge and understanding of GOD comes from within more than just reading and discussing texts and books of different authors. It comes only by real practice of those words which is very difficult.

I am performing the ascribed duty given to me by Krishna and my duty is to conduct research in science and so let me stop with that.

Thanks for your concern. I still read this forum although I may not wish to reply and get into any trouble.

Regards

Shyam

Hare Krishna

when you get sick of people's comments and you don't care for them anymore then you have a renounced attitude, just look at Meerabhay (sorry bad spelling) she renounced the whole world and at the end she got Krishna's association.

also I was listening to a Srila Prabhupada lecture on C.D and he said that we are not the Supreme Enjoyer's Krishna is, so we as men and women are trying to enjoy in material life, that is why we are put in this miserable condition. Also he said something very interesting that we all, as living entities when liberated are under the control of davi-prakriti (Srimati Radharani), and that we are all women! But that subject matter is very complicated, but it just shows how kind Krishna is, you can have any relationship with Him and he will reciprocate, you can be His friend, father, mother, lover, sister, son etc anything even be He's enemy!! /images/graemlins/ooo.gif

anyway here's hoping Krishna is reading this and he gives me the knowledge to understand Lord Chaitanya's Message (oh my God) /images/graemlins/smile.gif

I'm disappointed that so many devotees in this forum have been taken in by this rascal "syama" also known as KRISHNA69.

Lets take a look at his remarks about accepting a spiritual master.

He said:

"My sincere advice or suggestion to you is to stop searching for any spiritual master in this world. Honestly people who claim that they can show paths to salvation are not actually renounced by themselves which is true from the best of my knowledge and experience with such nonsense so called spiritual masters."

Now, this advice is a direct insult and offense to all our spiritual masters of the Gaudiya parampara. How can anyone befriend a person who makes such a remark about Prabhupada and all the other spiritul master?

I don't think that any person who says that we should stop searching for a spirutual master and that all the spiritual master are cheaters is a nice person at all. Generally, people of such opinions are referred to as ASURAS or DEMONS by our spiritual masters.

Maybe some of you people have affection and sympathy for someone with such an attitude, but I for one DO NOT!

I think he has offended all devotees and all spiritual masters and can't fathom how anyone would feel sympathy for a person of such arrogance and imudence.

Not sure what thread that statement was made on guruvani, but I am curious as to how you responded. If we have a superior point on any topic and would like to get that across to someone building rapport would be the first step in most cases. I am certainly no example here but am trying to learn this fact.

This doesn't mean compromise, just a more thoughtful approach.

Do you see what I am trying to say here?

Bridges not walls need to be built.

My sincere adivice or suggestion to you is to stop searching for any spiritual master in this world. Honestly people who claim that they can show paths to salvation are not actually renounced by themselves which is true from the best of my knowledge and experience with such nonsense so called spiritual masters. Just read GITA interpreted by different people at various times. Again dont confine just to one interpretation and block your thoughts based on that individuals purport. You dont have to stop going to ISKON temple where someone misbehaved with you but go and give him back nicely because its one's duty to establish dharma when you find adharma, and who ever he may be dont bother to throw away and smash that person with strong words who exploit others in the name of Krishna/GOD.

Reading GITA alone is more than sufficient than searching for a guru.

regarding your relationship with your friend, continue the friendship as a true friendship from the heart and not from the body. It may be difficult initially but in course of time, you will realise that mental attachemnt devoid of physical attraction is much wonderful.

Guruvani, may be you should take time to introspect on trying to be optimistic and friendly. It is called "Fellowship" you know /images/graemlins/grin.gif .

You do not have to look at everything through the eyes of pessimism and suspicion.

If you wear blue glasses, you start seeing everything in blue, it is better to remove the contacts and see the beauty with in the nature around you.

People have many misunderstandings, its better to stop it before it turns into ridiculous bashing that has no basis except to veil over the very ego with in.

I thought I should not reply to guruvani's comment but it does not make any sense if I dont reply. I have not made any personal comment on any individual mentioning any name. Can you point any name. I am not a person like guruvani to make such baseless comments on enlightened souls like Swami Prabhupadha. What nonsense this guruvani is talking. Is he really having any sense of understanding and analysing others words. Yes i still stress from my experience, its hard to find a spiritual master in this world because many people really exploit others in the name of religion and spirituality and some of them have even got into legal trouble for that whose names I dont wish to mention. They are quite well known in Indian community. Here in US, next to Swami Prabhupadha is really there any enlightened souls to his extent. So thats why I have mentioned, reading Gita is more than sufficient as it gives explanation for everything.

You guys i dont know if you read GITA, but certainly its clear from the way you talk and interpret, its obvious none of you are really even fit to even comment about me. It does not make any sense to even argue with you guys trying to prove any point. Its waste of time and energy as its clear that you have no rational thinking from all your words.

Mr.gurvani think whatever you want and I dont care. This is what you level of thinking is and that shows your mind. Please write whatever you want and whatever you wish.

Bye bye

Shyam

Like I said before, teen-age girls are so naive and gullible. Actually, I am sure that many older, more experienced devotees avoid this forum because they don't like to be in a place where teen-age girls talk down to them with no respect for their elders and atheists are allowed to contradict themselves after they criticise all the gurus of the parampara as being cheaters who can't show the path to salvation.

One thing young devotees need to learn is to show a little respect for devotees that are of their parents age group and not talk down to them disrespectfully.

By the way GITA has been interpreted by many sages over the course of different centuries. I have read the interpretations by Sankaracharya and Swami Ramakrishna Paramahamsa also other than the book B-GITA as it is by Swami Prabhupadha. I have read the essence of GITA written by Bharathi in his poetry, I have different kinds of interpretations written by different scholars in my mother tounge. Certainly Swami Prabhupadha by himself would have read those different interpretations. To understand and gain a deep insight into something one has to really read many things and not just confine to one author, and this is what I mentioned. Any well learned scholars would certainly agree with me. I would like to stop here and dont want to argue with any one anymore as i dont have to prove myself for useless ignorant people's comments.

Following the advice of my spiritual master I rather prefer not to build any bridge to the atheistic, offenders of the parampara. I am not interested in rapport or dialogue with them.

I am however interested to expose them for what they are, which is atheistic offenders of all the acharyas.

So what he reads Bhagavad-gita? He must not being reading an authorized version otherwise he could not be speaking such nonsense about not searching for a spiritual master.

He changes his story faster than a jackal flees a Lion. Whenever somebody exposes his nonsense, he tries to turn the tables and make others out to be the bad guy when it is he who is speaking against the gurus and preaching bogus nonsense.

He claims "I am a pure devotee of Krishna"!

Now that is load of it and a guaranteed sign of a cheater.

Prabhupada would have never read those mayavadi commentaries as you are suggesting. This post confirms what I just said about him reading mayavadi commentaries on the GITA.

He is contaminated with a lot of mayavadi nonsense. He actually thinks he IS KRISHNA! That is what he learned from the Mayavadi commentaries on the GITA. That is why he calls HIMSELF .........KRISHNA69..... he thinks that Krishna took birth in 1969 as some rascal mayavadi in India.(himself)

Thank you for chastising my useless, ignorant chandala self. All glories to your elevated position and to the others, unknown to me who share such a position. Please stay around to help me pull myself out of this pool of the ignorance I currently mistake for spiritual pursuit.

Please be compassionate and give me your mercy.

P.S. I've never bothered to read Srila Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada's "interpretation" of the Gita but I did look at the pictures alot, is that okay?

Actually, Prabhupada came to the west to argue with everything and everyone. He came and told them that your whole materialistic civilization is misdirected and bogus. He argued with all sorts of Professors and students and shattered their illusions about what they thought was right and wrong. Prabhupada was well known for "blowing people away" with his uncompromising approach to preaching. He blew away several discicples and many materialistic people who thought they knew better than the Vedic wisdom.

Prabhupada never ever compromised his preaching to "be nice" or "build bridges" or "develop dialogue" with atheists and materialists. His preaching was most usually as hard as a thunderbolt. He was not sentimental at all. He came to preach the absolute truth and he was not worried about stepping on some toes to do it.

Take some time to try and read the discussions and talks Prabhupada had with so many people. He was always in control, uncompromising and blunt. He was not at all concerned about offending people with the truth as it is revealed through the Gaudiya siddhanta.

He "offended" countless materially attached people and mayavadi contaminated rascals. Some disciples were even offended to the point of rejecting Prabhupada, but that never dissuaded him from standing up for the cold hard truth.

Nowadays we find some so-called sprititual masters who never want to say a harsh word to anybody, who think they can be all things to all people. But, this kind of compromising and pandering to the false egos of the materially attached was never part of Prabhupada's approach.

Bhaktisiddhanta Saraswati Goswami was known as the "LION GURU" in his time and that was because he was a very fiercesome preacher who defied the stereotypical profile of the so-called humble babaji. He also was never concerned to be viewed as a "nice guy" that never rubbed anybody the wrong way. He even criticised his own brother Lalita Prasada for his leanings to the sahajiya babaji mentality and the traditional image of the timid Vaishnava.

Anybody that doesn't accept arguement and cold hard preaching doesn't accept Prabhupada or his guru Saraswati Goswami because both of them were well known for bold, cold, in-your-face confrontations with nonsense atheists and materialists.

Prabhupada even said many things against his own Godbrothers and even his dear old friend Sridhar Maharaja. When it came to the movement and spreading Krishna consciousness around the world, it was Prabhupada and Prabhupada alone that had the authority and empowerment to establish the movement and he wholesale excluded all his Godbrothers and their disciples from interfering.

When you quit trying to imitate Prabhupada and Bhaktisiddhanta then your preaching may have some potency.

They were self-realized. Are you?

They were Krsna realized. Are You?

First things first. You have spoken before how you like to use the cutting method of preaching. I have heard sadhu means 'one who cuts'.

So first become sadhu.

I can appreciate being blunt and straight forward. I can also understand the need for gentle persuasion. Learning the balance and when to take one approach over the other takes a little sensitivity. You can't please everybody for sure. But that does not mean we must offend everybody that disagrees with us either.

By the way,how's your back?

Prabhupada is enlightened. Also, yes, he was a great man who did not care for anything except the truth.

However, we must not follow a living entity blindly, because it is the vedas that carry wisdom, not the living entities.

In the vedas, it has been said that soft words work over hard words.

Being nice is not something that only we gullible teenagers use to get stuff from their parents /images/graemlins/grin.gif , even though it works very well.

It is also a wonderful instrument to express great philosophical truths that cuts the delusion and does not make a big mess.

personally, I agree with Vedas, however, we must not refrain from using harsh words when needed. But, my krishna in bhagavath gita is always sweet, and was sweet all his life. He is still sweet now, he will be sweet in vraja.

Why use harsh words to express our views and make a mess, when we can do the samething with no mess, by using sweet and gentle words./images/graemlins/smile.gif

My response was not intended to be directed toward you, but rather towards all members. We have witnessed for instance ridiculous accusations against a forum member for having a number in his name. Rather than apologize for making an outlandish claim, the offending poster continues to heap scorn on Krsna69, perhaps hoping that no one will remember the ridiculous statements that started this episode.

BTW, Krishna69 please consider staying. Your posts have only been a positive contribution to these forums.

Thank you.
