How am I to understand this JNdas? On one hand I can see that some vaisnavas may place more emphasis on oneness while others place more on distinction, not intending to cancel the other out.Lord Caitanya's vision seems more full and balanced to me.While the mayavada angle seems very lacking and incomplete. Could you expound on this some more to help me understand the Thakurs words? Thanks, Maitreya

There is no right. All paths to God begin as individual paths. Each sage has had a long path behind him to bring him to that point of realization. Each sage has a capacity according to their level of perception. Range, in other words. How far beyond the human self can they see? Not all are equal in this ability. Enlightened, but by degrees. Enlightenment is more like a dimmer switch than an on/off switch. How bright can you be and still walk among men? x
Shivaduta 0 Report post Posted April 7, 2008 by xexon - There is no right. All paths to God begin as individual paths. makes so much sense.. like in the days of the glory of roman civilization it was said every path lead to rome... every path leads eventually to god... some are slow some fast some winding some climbing some cold some warm... to each his own path... xexon 0 Report post Posted April 7, 2008 No true path ever has to be defended. It speaks for itself, or it withers a slow death at the hands of devotees who don't know how to keep the flame lit. Just as it should. x
Amlesh 1 Report post Posted April 8, 2008 We might by our own will try to understand the Supreme but without his sanction things wont be that clear. From ages many concepts and theories have been laid down by great sages for common man to follow, but the only exact science is the Name of the Lord... When the right time will come, The Lord himself takes the task of explaining the incomprehensible.
