marcus 0 Report post Posted September 11, 2003 I am planning on getting a tattoo of my name in sanskrit. I had already had some idea of what the letters look like, but im sure its not supposed to look that way since it was each individual letter in sanskrit. If someone could write my name in sanskrit and send it via email i would greatly greatly appreciate it. Oh yeah, my name is MARCUS. thanks
Avinash 0 Report post Posted September 11, 2003 As you have written, you have got the individual letters of your name in Devanagiri (script used in Sanskrit). All you have to do is to use a horizontal line at the top connecting the letters. Alternatively, you can post the individual letters you have got. Then, I will post hot to put the line. marcus 0 Report post Posted September 13, 2003 included are GIF images where i went to a website with the "online itran" system and got these translations. Can you tell me if they are correct. One says MARCUS in all capital letters and the other is supposed to say king in lower case letters.

I_love_krishna_ 0 Report post Posted September 13, 2003 Yes, it does say "king". However, If you want to say king in Hindi. then, it should be written as 'rajah'. What you have written is just a direct english word in the devanagari script.
