Namaskarams. I have use to play Mahanyasam Mp3 in my home almost every day in the morning. Is it adviceable to play / chant it in the evenings? I am also performing pooja for shivling at my home on every pradosham. Atleast on that day, is it adviceable to play it in th evening? Please advice.

Thanks and regards,

It is said that there is a daily pradosham, besides the fortnightly one & that the time of sunset to time of sunrise is to be divided into 5(?) parts & that the first & last parts are the pradoshas..

Pls doubleCheck this.

B/w 4:30 to 6:30 pm is said to be the pradosha kaalam. Since MahnyAsam+ laghunyAsam+Rudram+ Chamakam takes about 1:30 hrs you might want to start the chant no later than 5 pm.
