Is it adviceable to play / chant it in the evenings? I am also performing pooja for shivling at my home on every pradosham. Atleast on that day, is it adviceable to play it in th evening? sohamsoham 0 Report post Posted March 7, 2013 It is said that there is a daily pradosham, besides the fortnightly one & that the time of sunset to time of sunrise is to be divided into 5(?) parts & that the first & last parts are the pradoshas.. sohamsoham 0 Report post Posted March 7, 2013 B/w 4:30 to 6:30 pm is said to be the pradosha kaalam. Since MahnyAsam+ laghunyAsam+Rudram+ Chamakam takes about 1:30 hrs you might want to start the chant no later than 5 pm.
